  1. The road to the #1 pick becomes a lot easier if they start losing some of these games to Texas, Baltimore, and KC.
  2. Except a few ex Packers have come out and said that he was difficult to get along with. Rodgers also blew off a lady who had cancer at an airport despite Rodgers knowing she was going to be there. Cutler did so much under the radar charity work but because he didn’t smile and yell more, he wasn’t well thought of. Of course his underwhelming performances didn’t help, and that’s what I’m trying to say for Kopech- no one will mind if he’s a great pitcher.
  3. Could Yolmer have bunted on his own? Seems to be hard to believe that RR, if he was going to have him bunt, wouldn’t have done so right away rather than waiting a pitch
  4. When he was on the broadcast earlier in the year, Kopech didn’t exactly give a great interview. Perhaps that rubbed Stone the wrong way. Either way I had a few friends who went to Sox Fest that said Kopech is kind of a tool. Signed the least amount of autographs, wasn’t thrilled to be taking pictures, didn’t talk much with fans, even walked by a group of kids when it ended and blew them off. You could be right- he seems entitled but it doesn’t matter if he’s great. No one would have cared about Cutler’s attitude had he won a Super Bowl. See Aaron Rodgers, who’s got essentially the same personality as Cutler, bur he’s simply a better player with a ring
  5. He did tell the paper the other day that a lot of hard throwers like Kopech flame out, and until he learns to throw it to the catcher and not through him, he may not dominate the MLB how he has every other level.
  6. It’ll be “or” not “and.” They won’t get Machado AND Harper.
  7. If Anderson gets on and the bases are loaded, I’d tell Engel to not swing the bat if I’m Renteria
  8. Then if I’m MM, I show a set of balls and realize that I can put an entire f***ing organization on the map
  9. I just can’t see how this works with Heyward, Darvish and Lester not going anywhere & Contreras, Rizzo and Bryant needing new deals over the next 2-3 years.
  10. Key word is tonight. I imagine with a competitive club led by Jimenez, Moncada, Abreu, and Machado, the seats would be a bit more crowded
  11. Yeah, I’m with you although the “or bust” thing isn’t agreeable. Regardless, they’d almost be banking on the vast majority of these guys panning out, and simply put, that’s really rare.
  12. Pollock isn’t that young and seems to be hurt all the time. Kimbrel would be exciting, however.
  13. Any mid-level to good FA’s we should be looking out for, since Harper & MM are likely headed elsewhere? And please don’t say Josh Donaldson
  14. He’s probably right. Teams like the Cubs, Braves, Dodgers, Angels, Red Sox and Yankees are probably going to offer $350-$400M. No way the Sox will match that
  15. F*** you Engel. Get the f*** out of this city I swear it feels like Moncada is always hitting with no one on base
