  1. No, but the Sox system is loaded in OF’s & Sanchez is probably a sub in 2021. Furthermore, Machado is probably going to get 27.5-30M/year in free agency anyway, so it’s not like he’s being lowballed in this scenario.
  2. If Baltimore offered Machado to the Sox for Yolmer, Robert, and Cease AND Machado would agree to a 10 year, $275M deal, would you do it?
  3. When Mancini came up, I thought it wss JJ Hardy. I said to myself “he’s still playing?!”
  4. If Moncada is a 280/390/510 player + great defense and Madrigal is a 300/410/450 type player, I think you find a spot for both guys in your lineup and don't complain. Madrigal's reported instincts/baseball IQ strikes me as a guy that I believe could be a good who could play all over the field.
  5. #YouKnowYourFavoriteTeamIsInARebuildWhen there is a 9 page thread dedicated to Adam f***ing Engel.
  6. Yeah, not being convinced that a guy didn't commit any crime since the woman was found in his basement, raped and murdered, and being the last person to see her alive really deserves a "you're a real class act"
  7. I think it will. Cleveland's going to have a tough offseason coming up, KC is 3-5 years away, and Detroit probably 4-6 assuming their draft picks pan out since they don't have many top veterans to get stud prospects back for. The Twins and Sox will be the class of this division in 2020.
  8. Well it didn't have to be, but usually (by usually, I mean never) teams who are .500 aren't picking in the top 5 of the draft. I'm not sure what is so fun about being a .500 team. They were almost .500 in 2015 and 2016. How did those years turn out? Fun, right?
  9. His name is Anthony Rizzo. Even if you don't follow the Cubs, you should know that.
  10. Yet he had Engel bat leadoff at Wrigley while he was hitting .169. It's a lost season. Put Moncada in the 1 spot and leave him.
  11. Man, I remember when Baseball Tonight was a joy to watch. Now they show about a third of that day’s highlights. The Sox and Rangers stink but you’d think an 8 inning, dominant shutout by one of the Sox big rebuild pieces would garner *some* publicity.
  12. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I’d 1) suggest watching it and 2) read the comments sections of the various new outlets covering the story and you’ll see that the views/takes are about 50-50 in viewing him innocent or guilty.
  13. That doesn’t mean Coleman wasn’t there, it just means his DNA wasn’t found 22 years later. Maybe he performed the sodomy. Maybe he slammed the brick down her throat. Maybe he truly wasn’t there. The DNA that was identified did match another serial rapist, but it’s strange that he hasn’t been arrested yet. The Chicago PD representative that they interviewed swears that they never forced a confession of Coleman and he swears Coleman had something to do with it; his initial confession was far too detailed to be completely fake.
  14. Any day now, Robert should be taking the field again, correct?
  15. Could that be because he was an impending FA? IIRC, tons of analysts were very disappointed in the haul that Detroit got for JDM. I don’t believe any of those guys that Detroit got were even in Arizona’s top 20 prospects.
  16. But when I said I’d ask for two top 100 prospects earlier this year, I was told they’d never get that, so what “pieces” can he actually net this organization?
  17. You think Reynaldo Lopez can become a more well-rounded pitcher than a potential HOF’r in Bartolo Colon? Lofty.
  18. Jimenez is 1-1 with a BB
  19. I would put OD above today’s game, but today was maybe the best performance of any pitcher who’ll be apart of the 2020 roster.
  20. Hope he doesn’t pull that act again against lightweight p***ies like Salvador Perez in July or Javy Baez in September, because y’know, those guys won something!!!!!!1
