Dammit Lee..................flies out for the 1st out. Sox looking to wait till the 9th to attempt a comeback.
-
Strikeout, popout, and strikeout. Esteban deals in the 5th, pitch count has to be piling up now.
-
I should of explained that. Miguel hit a soft bloop that the Indians 1B was trying to go for, and it hit his mit and rolled out towards the corner. Miguel got on Second. But Graff grounded out so nothing happened.
-
Alright, still lots of baseball to play. Sox still can come back. Though Esteban has to get through this s***, no more 2 out runs. I agree with Ass, he'll calm down through the next couple innings.
-
Good break for the Sox. Lets tie this game Graff.
-
Now Stanford is dealing. Seeming to breeze through these last couple innings.
-
On Fox it said something about 11 strikeouts. My bad, i just tuned in
-
......he has something going for him, lots of strikeouts. Hes just laying s*** right down the middle. We need the Sox to bail him out of this
-
Shouldnt you be making dinner right now? Football is a mans sport.

I'll make my contributions to this thread before the game.........which is three and a half hours away. Im heading up to the Cell with my friends and have my own winning streak of three in a row going. With Heathers streak adding to this there is no doubt of a win tonight. As far as momentum goes, Cleveland is returning from a 2-1 loss to Detroit. And although we lost there too, the after- taste of a Detroit loss going into another series should give our guys a good opportunity to win. Bad luck has to be off our backs after the Boston series, too many things went wrong during the brief two game set. Garland is coming off a good performance and SHOULD be able to build off of that. As long as we dont give him errors Garland should breeze through the first couple innings. Because Manuel likes pushing John around, the bullpen will probably get some work tonight. After a day of rest they should be fricken light out.

More proof that Cubbie Koo-Aid Kills

The Cards bulletin board would take up the entire club house if they just read the sports section of the Tribune. -
More proof that Cubbie Koo-Aid Kills

Normally i tend to sway away from articles concerning the Cubs (unless they lost a game or if its in a comparison to the sox) but after the series concluded yesterday I couldnt avoid them. At school I hear people talk about it, on the train people are arranging places to meet before going to Wrigley, and everywhere in between I see a blinding array of cubs clothing. This Cub induced coma is gripping Chicago, and I for one am praying to the vengeful baseball gods that Milwuakee Brewers kick the living s*** out of them in this series. Thats the ONLY way everyone in this city will stop hearing about the "best baseball series of all time!!!!!!!!" And if the Cubs lose the series then more then likely they will end up where they started before playing STL. Thus, we will all finally be spared the high pitch squealing of Chip Carey yelling, " WHAT A PLAY!!!!!!!!!!" And " CUBS WIN!!!!!" :fthecubs -
Anybody who goes to ebaumsworld.com click on the Mr. Bergis prank calls, Ive never heard anything funnier in my life. Especially at the end of the nascar and gay school prank when hes going nuts. The Arnold prank was good when he called the "country lady" who sounded like she was from Boston. Great part when hes arguing with the lady and says ," You're a f***ing choir boy compared to me.............A CHOIR BOY!!!!!!!!"

The Unit has lost a big f***ing step. Losing 4-1 in the 7th inning, RJ wont go too much longer. KC and Minn are heating up at the right time........ bastards.
-
s***. If the Sox went 7-0 through the homestand they would probably be leading the division by a good 5,6 games. Obviously they wont do that. I would be satisfied for something more like 5-2. That should keep us on top going into the road trip at Boston and Minn.

On Minnesotas web site it says that Santana is pitching Fri. Not sure if that is recent (because Johan is better after his hamstring problems) or if Mays is the one going.

I have a hell of a schedule in the morning. Im a freshman in college, have to wake up at 5:30 A.M. on everyday except Fri. to catch the Metra to take me to Union station. From Union Station I take a bus to UIC. The train is never on time and the CTA seems to come one time every half an hour. I was late for my first day of class because I just missed the bus. It isnt bad now, but when it starts getting cold and there's 2 feet of snow its going to get a hell of a lot worse. The good part of it is Im home by 2 p.m. By that time Im pratically dead from walking all around campus and sitting through boring lectures. I miss waking up at 7:30 every morning to go to my high school which was only two blocks from my house. But college is still cool as f*** so all the walking around is worth it.
-
f***!!!!!!!! Why did the Cubs and Twins have to come from behind. Makes this day even worse. This is by far the WORST baseball day this year. This f***ing team better go on a tear, the likes of a 10 game win streak. Im doubting this team now. Not to say I dont believe they can come back but they don't play like a team that wants to win.
-
I wish the Sox didn't have an off day tomorrow. Its one more day I have to think about this loss, and one more day of hearing the Sox being b****ed around by the media. If the baseball gods actually exist, they are playing a cruel f***ing joke on us Sox fans. What a day.
-
Im not going to watch sportscenter.............im not going to read any papers.........Im not going to speak to any Cub fans..........I shouldnt even wake up tomorrow. Why must we be destined to lose these type of games. Somebody give me hope.
-
Guess whos due up in the 9th for the Sox. None other then the closer killer Frank Thomas. We NEED to keep them down. Im not going to post in the 9th (didnt last inning and the sox scored). We need a win to keep pace with the AL central bastards below us.
-
Im not going to post in our half of the 8th. See if that works. f***ing pass ball. Runner on third with two out.
-
Momemtum better shift of that pick off at second. Baseball gods are toying with our emotions tonight. They give Minn and Cubs great comeback wins, maybe we have some hope. Im still pissed though. Marte gets a K for the second out.
-
Kc leading Tex 3-1 top of the 5th. This is becoming the worst baseball day of the year. Every other team I hate makes miraculous comebacks and were losing 4-3 in the 8th. Worst possible scenario unfolding today.
