  1. This notion that Sox can't hit pitchers they've never seen, and sending up Pudillo to continue the trend is a HUGE gamble for the Twins. Imagine what's going through this guys head: coming into a playoff race from the minors and having to start at their rivals home field. If were really going to beat Pudillo Sox need to add runs early when he's nervous. Seems too often Sox will let a pitcher get into a groove, and then have to wait till bullpen relief to make a comeback. Im not one for making predictions, but I have to say this trend stops tonight. If anyone beats the Sox it will be themselves swinging at first pitches and failing to play small ball. But it just has to stop, and it makes sense now more then ever to break out of it. From this point on we probably wont be facing pitchers we've never seen before. (Eith maybe the exception of KC. I know Sox havent faced Gobble)
  2. Of course ESPN would pick SF to win. It seems like the emotional pick to make with SF losing game 7 of last years WS and Barry Bonds losing his dad. (But oddly the emotional pick was wrong in 2001. Yankees lost the WS following 9/11, and I thought for sure the baseball gods would not allow anything else.) Not taking anything away from their team, but I don't think they'll win the World Series. If I put down any other team (other then the Sox) to win the WS I would guess Atlanta. They normally choke in playoffs but I just have more faith in them this year. Offense, normally not well-spoken of, is very solid for this years Atlanta team. Pitching and defense were always superb so it appears they have all the pieces.
  3. Nevermind, i read some of the other threads he was in. Starts alot of s***.
  4. What does everyone have against Ncorgbrl? I remember back a month or so there was atleast a 200 reply post in the White Sox MLB forum with his name in the title. Guy really gets a lot of s*** for rarely posting.
  5. Bickering and calling everyone "idiots" is entertaining... read Matthew chapters 5-6 the one who calls another a fool is liable for the fires of hell. So Jesus has told you and HSC has warned you. and I your true friend of long, long standing ask you. What a paradox, a bible thumping Eminem fan. And what a bunch of s*** to go to hell for calling someone a............let me hold myself back..........fool. Cwsox, your becoming way too soft and sensitive to everything lately. I dont care what kind of heat I get for saying this but its true. Quote me, call me an asshole, but this guy got offended because I compared a picture of a pig to Aretha Franklin. He brought up a story of her dad getting killed, and how idiotic it was of me to joke that Aretha should be fed to starving children (much like a pig when its processed into food). OBVIOUSLY i wouldnt want it to happen. I didn't think CWsox was going to cry about it. And BMR of all people agrees with him.........
  6. Saw from your profile you were from Alsip, do you go to Shepard High School?
  7. Can anybody tell the difference between the two? Both are ugly, incredibly obese, and should be processed into food to feed starving children.
  8. I was at that game. And it was my favorite of the year. The crowd was ecstatic for being short 20k people. Seems nearly of the members in Soxtalk were at the Sox/Min game. Probably would explain all the enthusiasm out of the 23K. Right before Paul Konerko hit the game tieing home run tuns of people were beginning to leave. Needless to say after he hit the homerun everybody ran back to their seats. I honestly would of left before the pitch, but was waiting for my girlfriend to come back to our seats in the right field stands. What made the Frank Thomas moment even better then the obvious fact that he won the game is that everyone in that park stood up and cheered him on when the count was full. Its almost as if everyone knew Frank would end it there. After it was all done, the huge group of people walking down the ramp to ground level were chanting "SWEEP, SWEEP, SWEEP, SWEEP." Definately the best game Ive seen first hand.
  9. I never knew WSI was that highly regarded among baseball fan sites. I see soxnet.net made #16. Surprised that there wasnt any Yankee or Cub sites up there. When you bring Soxtalk up Begood Ill vote for it.
  10. About time! The one category that won it for me were the amount of errors through the series.
  11. Open passes dropped............Kordell sacked 5 times.........3 INT........... Bears cant even get a break, Abdullah missed a good chance to recover a dropped punt return.
  12. Anybody have stats on the Bears worst loss in their history. This has to be pretty damn close, and its not even close to being done. Oh, this gets better. 49-7 San Francisco.
  13. 42-7 San Francisco.......
  14. GOD DAMN, San Francisco is challenging a supposed TD when they are leading 33-7 in the 3rd quarter. This is a disgraceful performance by the Bears, but with the Sox in contention I cant be too angry about it.
  15. Now that Twins won, and were tied for first, how many of you are going to the game tomorrow?
  16. Is the game over yet?
  17. Heard that Tex. got screwed on a tag play at third.
  18. Just count on Minn winning this game. It wont hurt as much when Tex fails to help us out.
  19. Sorry to cross threads, just want to inform everyone of the 23-7 ass whooping of the bears.
  20. Texas................ :fyou. Prove me wrong.
  21. I know Minnesota will end up winning it. It just makes sense that they come into town tied with us for first place. And Texas lays down everytime we need them.
  22. Its going to be a long season with the Bears.
  23. Alright, no need for Minnesota to feel good coming into Chicago. Baseball gods owe us some good fortune.
  24. How many outs Ugly.
