I really wish we could see how he plays in CF. I feel like catchers rarely give you the production to go #1.

I wonder if the Sox could save more money by picking Lackey vs picking Roch. Would definitely be a factor, but I'd have to imagine they'd command similar salaries.

I know you don't take a stud catcher off the position regularly... But is it crazy to think Lackey in CF would be easily preferred over a catcher? Feels like you'd get way more value out of a stud CFer. Wish we know how he'd play out there. @Y2Jimmy0 are you still firmly in the "pick Roch" camp?

Why don't the rules allow you to choose one for the last 3 batters to be on 2nd in extra? It's pretty lame when you get stuck with your slow ass catcher on there.
