  1. Exactly. He deserves some blame for the what has happened with Schultz and Hagen Smith. We've all read about how much they have tinkered with Schultz. Him and Hagen Smith look awful. Oppor has completely fallen apart. The org has become awful at developing pitching.
  2. Regarding Latin America, it feels like this recent signing period may be the one that turns it around. We got a number of guys with good tools who have performed really well at DSL. Not going deep into their stats, but Sebastian Romero (17 yo OFer, 115 wRC+) Ronald Cardozo (17 yo C, 133 wRC+). Yordany Marte (16 yo P, 3.49 ERA, 8.3 SO/9) The guy we traded away along with Mason Adams for the dogshit outfielder is Carlos Vielma (16 yo SS, 150 wRC+). I think that's going to bite us in the ass. It reeks of the Tatis Jr trade.
  3. So what does he do in the organization?
  4. This one goes out to you, Mr. Bannister. Pitching development has been atrocious. Schultz and Hagen Smith look bad and their stuff looks mediocre. There isn't much legitimate help on the way in the minors either. The Sox will have to sign good starters or trade some of their big time hitting prospects for help.
  5. I'm not a scout, but I thought the same thing while looking at his delivery. It also could have been him having literally no control that lead me to that conclusion. He also went from 95-96 in his first inning to 92-93 on his second inning. He isn't ready for the majors. I'd rather him just work on his stuff in the minors. Schultz and Hagen Smith having apparently mediocre stuff is not something I predicted coming into the season.
  6. Agreed all around. That's why I'm against a Jose Abreu celebration or retirement as well. No thanks.
  7. If he's a good hitter, they'll find time for him to play. Especially with injuries and especially if he sticks at catcher. The guy they traded for sucks. That's the big problem with the trade.
  8. Especially considering the player we got sucks and is owed money next season.
  9. So what? It's good to have good hitters. And currently he is still catching. We traded him for a bad pitcher. It was a dumb ass trade.
  10. I want Colson to hit well. He needs to build his trade value.
  11. He hit 96 in his first inning. He lost 2-3 mph by his second inning.
  12. Good point. That's a good example of what may happen to Colson.
  13. Only slightly facetious. I think we're seeing what Colson is with his current stats. Streaky hitter who can hit homeruns in bunches, with long cold streaks where he strikes out a s%*# ton. In addition, back issues. And his defense hasn't been all that impressive in recent months. If there are other teams that would be willing to pray a premium for him, then absolutely. We've got Roch waiting to take over at SS.
  14. I wonder if they give Bonemer a shot at LF or 2B soon. They only play him at SS and 3B.
  15. Haha it's going to be hard to deny having Roch's glove there if he can hit well.
  16. I'm talking the organization as a whole. The pitching development has been garbage. There's stories about how many things they're trying to tweak at once with Schultz. Schultz and Hagen Smith have looked bad. Oppor has been a disaster. The lack of pitching from the minors is going to hurt the rebuild.
  17. Looks like we'll be getting at least a couple innings from Hagen Smith today
  18. Bannister needs to go this off-season. What a disaster the pitching has been.
