  1. Kudos to Meidroth for that play. Kudos to Sandlin for having to abruptly go out there and getting the job done.
  2. Bannister'll fix em
  3. And Fedde has been pitching better than the guy that replaced him.
  4. Embarrassing by Venable.
  5. Classic Will Venable. In-game managing guru.
  6. Yeah, Sandlin is a better option.
  7. I admit I was shitposting here. My post was low effort and a bit trolly. I wasn't being honest/ignored context about what you were talking about when you said "journalism was dead" and you're right that Keith Law didn't write that. I don't want to lie or purposely misconstrue what you said since you have a reputation and this is part of your career, so my apologies. The one issue I did have, however, is your tweet about how all these Sox fans who have never seen Boston Smith or Mason Adams play were convinced they shouldn't be moved, and that discourse is crazy. The large majority of fans haven't seen these guys play. The diehards have seen highlights, look at box scores and keep up with the various prospect publications. At the same time, publications like FutureSox HAVE been pumping up these 2 guys up for how they have been playing and the improvements they have made. Then the second they get traded, they are just some low level prospects and fans are getting mocked for caring about them getting moved.
  8. I get it. This is a reference to Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting.
  9. Fine. Cleveland is cheating.
  10. Jimmy declaring that the Red Sox are cheaters
  11. Lol right? He went off there. You'd think that was a walkoff.
  12. Easy there Schriff. We didn't win the game.
  13. So you're good with him being a career platoon bat?
  14. Antonacci has had one hell of a rookie season. I think we all like the guy. At this point, Venable uses him most as a platoon bat. Will typically sits him or pinch hits him against righties. His stats are pretty bad against righties. He's only got a .511 OPS against them. It makes sense when you look at the stats. But with Sam seemingly being an important piece for our team's future, should he get more opportunities against lefties so he can improve? I don't see how he can if he rarely gets opportunities. Should he get more opportunities or keep him as a platoon bat?
  15. But lefty righty matchup!! Venable just isn't a good in game manager.
  16. Yep. Vargas to 1st and Mune at DH.
  17. He's been fantastic at 3B when he plays there. If the Sox think he'll have to be a DH, I'd rather they just try to trade him.
  18. Roch taking over at SS will completely transform our defense IMO.
  19. I don't think Vargas is horrid there or anything, but I look forward to when Colson moves to 3rd and Roch takes over at SS. This is assuming Colson picks his offense back up. Love the idea of having multiple elite defenders in the infield.
