7/7 GT - Red Sox @ White Sox (6:40pm CST)
Who is a better in-game manager - Grif or Venable?

Sandlin. He's a better option than Schultz currently IMO. Let's see how Sandlin looks when he gets a longer leash. He's definitely got the stuff to be good. Needs to improve his command.

The best piece in a trade for a guy like Cease needs to have more upside. How many great starting pitchers in the current MLB sit at 91 MPH? Logan Webb? Davis Martin throws a tad harder. There's barely any pitchers who are great at that velocity. It was just a terrible trade. No need to sugarcoat it.

Come on West, we don't have to act like every move the team makes is a stroke of genius.

I'm not totally out on him. He clearly needs more work in the minors though. Send him down for Sandlin.

Crazy having the main piece in the Cease trade being a starter that throws 91 mph. What were they thinking?

Agreed. His decisions are baffling at times.

You and I both know this game is over.

Not feeling great about this one. Hopefully Schultz turns it around, but I think this might be a lopsided game.

Yep. Sandlin has been good enough to earn some more starts.

@joejoesox what are we turning on right now? X-Files?

100%. Busting on those two picks would be really detrimental to the future of this team.

Hasn't the same thing happened with Hagen Smith?

How in the world is that not an error? Colson has been terrible defensively lately. Feels like an error damn near every other game.

Sweeper not looking good tonight.

100%. In no world should he be batting there.

White Sox - Injury Tracker
Don't be hating Tray. If he can play SS, then he can play 2B. Gonzo is gunning for Ole Slow Bat's job at 2nd.

Just saw the update on Thorpe and Bush. Wonder when they'll be back. Seems like they're still a ways away.

Thoughts on selling high on Meidroth?
I was being facetious because she loves lefties so much. We actually need more right handed bats with how the lineup is currently constructed. Not that that should impact the decision.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I really don't want to include Bonemer in any trades. The comparison I've seen most of Gunnar Henderson. Obviously we don't expect him to stay at SS though. LF/2B/3B are options for him. Below are their stats in A+ (since Caleb just got done there). I know this is simplistic comparison lacking some more important details/context. And obviously Gunnar became way better than expected, but Caleb was clearly the better offensive player in A+. I think he's got the chance to be an offensive monster in the MLB. Middle infielder with 40 HR potential. That's tough to part with. Player| Age| Level| Games| HR| AVG| OBP| SLG| OPS Gunnar Henderson (2021 Aberdeen)| 20 years| High-A| 65 games| 9 hr| .230 avg| .343 obp| .432 SLG| .775 OPS Caleb Bonemer (2026 Winston-Salem)| 20 years| High-A| 61 games| 18 hr| .238 avg| .381 obp| .556 SLG| .937 OPS
