I feel there's no way he could have traded Fields unless the package was ridiculous. If he trades Fields and Fields turns into a stud, that is a career killer. He needed to ride with Fields for one more season. Nobody should be blaming him for rolling with Fields this season.

Not only was the Drain Duo a good nickname for the two players, but another fan from realgm asked Doug McDermott what he thought of the nickname during a meet and greet. Doug McDermott said regarding the nickname "I love it" and that it was "clever". His words, not mine. The fan even posted a picture with him and McDermott from the meet and greet/autograph session, so it was legit. I still see people referencing the Drain Duo nickname over there on occasion.

Honestly, my hope is that Getz saw how these chumps with no baseball playing experience (Hahn and Haber) f***ed this organization into the ground, and is ready to completely disregard his opinion. Not that you have to play baseball to be a good front office GM, but those guys didn't play AND they sucked.
