The Official Cub Hating thread

That's awesome!!! Maybe our artists like Cali can see about making this and posting it! -
Its official Cottsy is going to the Show
BridgeportHeather replied to Bullard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He did K up 2 in one inning "IIRC" . And Harden gave up 1 run in 1 inning too. Cotts is a pitcher who changes speeds well. That is why I am guessing he will have the same success as Gobble and Harden. Something I like about Cotts is his composure. If he ever gets down in the count, he doesn't let it get to him, and he rises above it. He won't be an inning-eater by all means until he can lower the number of pitches he needs to get a batter out; however, he will give us a chance to win. -
Steff's picture of SamME was priceless. I just thought it would be cool if anyone had good Cub hating pictures to share them...This is my ultimate favorite...

How hard could it be to decorate a guys apartment..? A few milk crates.. a futon.. some Playboy's and wala! Home You left out the big screen TV, stereo system, video game system of choice, and computer! They are college students.. No big screen till they graduate! Actually, this one guy on my floor last year had a 27" screen in his room. We all crowded in there to watch football games. And, Koch This, I don't know if this is as good as Steff's pool, but I might be able to get a hot tub in your front room!

There's no way I'd send Daubach down right now. The rosters do expand in a few weeks, so we can let him get more time in the minors before that, bringing him up when the rosters do expand. I think we need consistency in our lineup right now. The last thing we need is for JM to have more 'tinkering' to do.

We're only the most obese nation because we have Philthydelphia in our country. Those cheese steaks will sure get ya! Oh, and Eagles still suck!!!

Or drink an equal amount of water as you did alcohol.

I guess Soxheads is just out there to help our friend TheBigHurtBEGOOD. Since we now have an emoticon that says "Be Good," TBHBG won't have to ever type it anymore at the bottom of his posts; therefore, he won't suffer from Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.

That's awesome!!! On a side note, since both of us have been suffering through years being Hawks fans, shouldn't they automatically graduate us Magna Cum Laude? Oh, check your PM. -

If you had me as your teacher, you wouldn't even need to answer a single question to get an A on anything...All you'd have to do is wear Sox gear, and all would be well. I'd even give you extra credit if you were to write "Cubs Suck" on your test sheet! -
I think that Jerry Manuel's mismanagement of the bullpen is what's really causing this. This is why I think Cooper and Kusyner (sp.?) should be the ones controlling the pen, and nobody else.

So then, what DO you have to do? -

What do they give the winner? And would my chances of winning be higher, since I have an 'in' with Carlos? -
Just wondering how much Illini tickets typically cost. My ISU Redbirds play there on the 6th of September, and I'm considering going to support them on the road. Would also like to meet up with others here who are planning on going as well, even if we will be rooting for different teams. Also, do they have a special rate for students of an opposing team's school?

So do you have to talk with someone about holding the 'Sally Sox' or 'Fred Fan' card before the game, or do they give it to anyone in site? -
For all of those Loaiza doubters out there
BridgeportHeather replied to Loaiza21's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Since JR says he'll dish the $ out if the fans come, and the fans ARE coming, I don't think we're gonna have to worry about players not being signed during the offseason. -

How do you become an ATM racer? -
How big is that store? Walmart size? Anyways, I hear ya on hating shopping...That's why Christmas shopping always is hard for me. If you don't wanna have to decide on 30 choices, try going to Walmart or Target. The stuff's probably less expensive as well.

Drink plenty of water and take some Tylenol...Eat some plain crackers or chicken broth if you can.

I really hope you guys don't hate me now

Read the 'yesterdays party' thread and such...I really made an ass of myself. I didn't mean to give everyone a bad impression of me. I'm really not like that. -
It seems as if a lot of you guys are jumping off the edge of a cliff here!!! YES we lost yesterday...YES it didn't look too pretty...YES we've had some downright embarrassing moments to this season. But consider this... We HAVE made up 5.5 games since the All Star break. We're currently only 1.5 games back on the 12th of August, giving us just over 1 1/2 months left this season. I know that the strengths of schedule don't favor us; however, strenght of schedule has absolutely no implications on what will actually pan out. Teams like Tampa and Detroit can beat the likes of a Minnesota or KC. That's why they play the games instead of allowing the game to be played on paper. There's still a lot of baseball left to be played, and we still have seven games against both the Twins and Royals. We are far from being 'done' this season. Let's have some faith in our team!

It's BS that he hasn't been inducted into the Hall yet. YES, he gambled on the game; however, he was an awesome player. Koch This, you seem to be knowing of the baseball rulebook...Does it say anything in there with regards to dealing with people who have gambled with the game before? I say that, if it isn't explicitly written in there, then what's the big deal?
