As long as he isn't in the field Benintendi has some value in the lineup. He hit 20 home runs last year, ideally he should be hitting 6th or 7th and not clean up

I was kind of surprised to not see people here talking about him getting a shot to start. He threw 101 innings last year, a lot of multiple inning outings, I think he would be primed to start and get up to 140-150 innings this year. He should be given the shot, would be awesome if he turned into a good starter. He started in the minors and he pitched well enough last year

Really wish we could just get rid of Benintendi, even if we ate half of his salary. Instead we will probably get rid of Sosa even though he is one of our better hitters. Sosa should be DH while also getting a couple games a week in the INF. Benintendi is strictly a DH and really bad in the field when he has to play

Hate to bring this back but just got on and feel like I should be able to respond. This can be taken somewhere else if wanted by others Yeah he had to get approval from his employer to miss a day of work just like anyone else in the world would have to do, not sure why that is a big deal. People only think it effects his character because his views don't align with theirs. If someone missed a game (with team approval) to attend a left wing media personality than the people dogging him wouldn't really give a s%*#. What should be asked is if Shaw is openly talking about his political beliefs in the work place and making his teammates and coaches uncomfortable or does he come to work and do his job and is a good teammate? You can disagree politically or religiously but doesn't mean both can't be good people and teammates. We have gotten away from that so much in this country
