  1. How about the pitcher doesn't get into a 3-0 count in the first place? It shouldn't be up to the hitter to give the pitcher a break. Also in a time where stats matter when it comes to MVP awards, batting titles, etc. that directly effect your next contract, why shouldn't he be swinging at a meatball? Like others have said crazy things happen in baseball, no lead is truly safe until the 27th out. And how are people going to compare football to baseball? In football, even just one extra play could lead to the end of someone's career, it is more about safety then running up the score IMO.
  2. I don't understand why middle aged relievers come here to die
  3. Let's try this Robert, don't swing the entire AB and see what happens
  4. Tim Anderson has quickly become a really good hitter. What an AB! What a great approach
  5. I can't imagine how good Robert could be if he stopped swinging at offspeed out of the zone
  6. I would rather see Gonzalez then Mazara right now
  7. Thank you for the info, I didn't know that! For the bolded: I would say the opposite. I would think most people who are going to vote for Trump or support what he has done aren't inclined to speak up with fear of being labeled a racist or whatever other name you can think of.
  8. I'm curious who is actually conducting these polls and how to find them? I have yet to see one in the last 4+ years. I highly doubt the die hard Trump supporters are voting in them either.
  9. I think we are coming around on free agents though. Everyone loved the Grandal signing which was huge, he has just been disappointing like 95% of free agents to sign with this team. People like the add of Cishek to complement the bullpen, liked the Kuechel signing (only good one so far), and most liked EE coming in as a vet DH because most didn't trust Collins. The issue lies with the coaching and front office. I have said this 100 times but whoever is doing out in game scouting of opponents or getting us ready to face pitchers or certain hitters is god awful. 90% of the time we are in bad shifts, hitters have 0 plan at the plate, and pitchers seem to have no game plan to start the game. But on the flip side our opponents are always in good shifts, know how to attack our hitters with ease, and have a gameplan.
  10. It's like Cardinals, a professional organization did some scouting. Must be nice
  11. Why go to a fastball there after what he did last time?
  12. Did we do any scouting the last 2 days on their pitching? Probably not
  13. It looks like we came in thinking this would be a walk in the park
