We have officially booked the Ocean Riviera Paradise (opens in 10 days). Now for excursions, what should we do? We already want to visit the ruins but would like to do one or two other things if one is a half day type thing

We are looking in the Playa Del Carmen area, we found a few ones we like including a brand new one opening in December (Ocean Riviera Paradise, H10 resort), which is about 45 min away from the airport. I will check out the other areas you mentioned as well.

Bringing this back. I posted in the summer vacation thread but figured this is a better place. Fiancée and I are going on our Honeymoon late May for a week. We are looking to stay under $3,000 for an all inclusive resort on a beach + flight (Yes, we have found a handful of places in Riviera Maya that we like) but also want to go to a place where we have the option to go outside the resort and explore. I am having a tough time finding locations other then Cancun/Riviera Maya. Any other places we should look at besides Punta Cana?

That was brutal. The 3 point play for Canaan was a good play but made for the wrong guy. He had been cold all game and on the bench the whole quarter, doesn't make sense to run a play for him

It was a little bit of a drive from San Juan, but there was plenty to do in the area(s) around there. Our wedding was at the Marriott in San Juan. I'd definitely check out Old San Juan and the old Spanish fort if you go. Our honeymoon was on Vieques at this hotel. You've got to take a little puddle jumper from San Juan to get here, but it's very secluded and minimally developed island with gorgeous, pristine beaches. One thing to keep in mind with any Caribbean or Central American travel right now though is Zika if you're thinking about having children. Good point. Not planning on it for a few years but still something to worry about. I will check out the ones you included, probably will be out of the price point we are wanting to spend right now but could be good for our actual honeymoon.
