  1. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 24, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Rollins has a .483 OPS against RHP, making him arguably one of the worst hitters in baseball against such pitchers. Throw in defense and no logical argument can be made for Jimmy over Tyler. I don't use stats a lot so don't ruin my thunder!
  2. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 24, 2016 -> 07:07 PM) Let's go with a strange platoon of Saladino against righties and Rollins against lefties. That is the way to go but Stryker can't realize that for some reason
  3. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 24, 2016 -> 06:12 PM) Charlotte has a fun team. Davidson, Delmonico, Anderson, and Sanchez on the infield. Hayes at DH. May and Coats in the OF. They have a solid team.
  4. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ May 24, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) One bad game? Have you looked at Saladino's entire body of work? Rollins has a significantly better OBP and OPS in a greater number of at-bats. Given that Tyler's numbers plummeted with increased exposure last year, I believe the same would happen this year if we let it go on. So that gap should widen. Also, despite his speed, Saladino's produced no steals, and been caught twice. Once due to an awful slide. His one advantage is defense, and I reject the notion that Rollins is so bad that his offensive superiority doesn't cover it. Can't compare Saladino and Rollins numbers offensively for the year, Saladino has had a small sample size and has produced a lot better ABs. I don't know why you love Rollins and his awesome .230 average and .179 AVG, .228 OBP, and .483 OPS against RHP. Sure looks like a guy who should be starting against RHP right now. Look at the stats please. And don't give me the bulls*** that Saladino's numbers weren't good last year as a ROOKIE. Oh and just for comparison: Tyler's Stats against RHP last year: .230 avg, .259 OBP, .585 OPS Saladino isn't the answer at SS but he is the best option currently against RHP.
  5. QUOTE (ron883 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:12 PM) 2 hr for Delmonico. He is absolutely destroying AA. He is only 23 too. Do we have a legit hitter in the making? Probably not but he should be in AAA like yesterday.
  6. I guess it will probably be Shuck, nothing exciting
  7. He needs to stop swinging at the inside pitch until they get it in the strike zone
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:56 PM) Johnson just got optioned back to Charlotte. Wonder who is coming up? Another pitcher? Shuck? Hayes? Coats? Bourgeois?
  9. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:23 PM) Yeah, just a "utility" guy. Unfortunately, some fans are getting a little tired of those "utility" guys in their starting lineup. Like you said, hopefully he can revert to that role and Anderson can be a legit starter for us. He is the bridge to Anderson and then Saladino should have a great career has a utility man
  10. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:20 PM) Saladino will be one of those guys that is never very good. However, he will have 9 lives with the White Sox...just feels like one of those "guys." He is a great utility guy. He shouldn't be a starter for long with Anderson coming up but he is the best option at SS that is on the MLB roster right now
  11. QUOTE (Green Line @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) Robin seems to be obsessed with "saving the bullpen" to the detriment of the rest of the team most games. What is he saving them for exactly? For when Sale goes 4 innings tomorrow
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:44 PM) Just leaving EJ out to dry I see. "We were down by 2 and now 3, there is no way we come back" - Robin Logic
  13. Robin couldn't just take the nice thing Johnson gave us.. Oh man
  14. That is QS for Johnson. That is all you could ask for from him to be honest. He kept it close and we are in the game, offense has to show up though
  15. I think Eaton thought that was through and didn't turn on the jets until he saw Lindor get it. Should have been an easy hit if he was running the whole time
