  1. BREAKING: White Sox have acquired Brett Lawrie from the A's in exchange for LHP Zachary Erwin & RHP J.B. Wendelken.
  2. Well lets see who gave in.

Homeland and The Affair both renewed
  4. I would much rather go after Dickerson
  5. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 05:29 PM) You've heard or you're guessing? He was saying because of how close we were to trading for Lawrie
  6. Back to the waiting game
  7. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:21 PM) Frazier has put up over a 9 WAR over the past 2 seasons. He's a solidly above average defender. He takes more walks than Lawrie, he strikes out less. He hit 35 HR last year. Todd Frazier is a damn all star caliber player and he's not even 30. I don't give 2 flying fudgesicles that Brett Lawrie is a "grinder" and he "plays mean" or whatever. The dude sucks. If we had Lawrie, we would be trying to see if he could upgrade over him right now. He's Gordon Beckham without the fun personality. HE IS NOT GOOD. We all know Frazier is much better and we would rather have him but the price for him is likely too much for us to trade
  8. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:07 PM) @JoeStiglichCSN #Athletics, White Sox still talking Lawrie, but it's been a struggle agreeing on prospects that would go to Oak, I'm told. That's what happens when you don't have a lot of assets to trade.. Or when you don't want to be taken advantage of. We have some good assets but we shouldn't trade most of them for Lawrie, I am glad we aren't giving in like we have in the past
  9. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:03 PM) Are you kidding? You'd rather trade Anderson or Fulmer for 2 years of Frazier instead of a lower level guy for Lawrie? He REALLY hates Lawrie for some reason. Dude must have kicked his dog
  10. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:35 PM) Are this point they need as much help as they can get I don't want to make this into a Cabrera thread so mods if you want to move these that is fine but: What is the point of signing Cabrera unless we are going all in to try and win this year? We have younger guys who are worth a shot at 2B and SS so to sign him would seem almost pointless
  11. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:27 PM) One less team on asdrubal cabrera We don't need him
  12. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:55 PM) Just spent the last hour and a half taking an exam. Really thought something would have happened in that time. I think it won't happen until tonight
  13. Can we keep this thread about Lawrie?
  14. This deal better be done by the time I get up from my nap!!
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:46 AM) Let's talk about the trade instead of the parameters of who Chilihead roots for. Who do you guys think is in the return? I know the Sox have been talking on this for weeks and supposedly Oakland wanted EJ so as long as he's not involved you have to think the Sox got what they want. I would say OF and P prospect. I don't know a whole lot about our prospects except the more well known ones so I would say Hawkins and a lower level Pitcher
  16. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:42 AM) One last comment on him as a person..... When Lawrie first heard he was going to be added to the "40"-man roster. Can you please make a thread of your most embarrassing pictures? lol
  17. Cool, now I have to go to bed without knowing what is going on
  18. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:25 AM) I've been told Sox unwilling to trade E Johnson for him. We'll see if they budged. Susan Sluseer told me it's unclear if names have been agreed upon but the return will be two minor leaguers. Answer me on Twitter you jerk!
  19. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:18 AM) Susan Slusser is Oakland's beat writer. He has only been in Oakland for 2015. Clearly he hasn't grown up. You still have no clue what happened for him to do that. And who really cares? It is twitter, he could block every White Sox beat writer and me for all I care
  20. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:10 AM) So stuff that's probably been at least 3 or more years ago? Exactly. People mature when they get older especially when they have good role models in the locker room. Of course he thinks he is the s*** in the minor leagues
  21. Could Courtney Hawkins be one of those players?
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:05 AM) He's 26 but he's not good so I just don't care about his age. Yes, he's better than what we have so if we didn't give up a lot for him then I'd be ok with it but I don't want to give up anything people are mentioning here besides Avi and I'm not anti trading prospects at all. The point about his age is he still has a chance to get better then what he has been.
  23. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:03 AM) I see is dealing a Montas type, fwiw Yeah I think one of Danish, Montas, or Johnson would be dealt to the A's
  24. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 12:00 AM) But seriously....is there anyone here who would feel comfortable rooting for this slimeball? If he produces, helps us win, and doesn't hit women/kids, or kill people I am good
