QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 06:16 PM) It looked like Buehrle was sitting in the background pretty laid back. I didn't even notice him at all
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 06:15 PM) Buehrle ejected! Because why not!

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:46 PM) © He interferes with the catcher’s fielding or throwing by stepping out of the batter’s box or making any other movement that hinders the catcher’s play at home base. EXCEPTION: Batter is not out if any runner attempting to advance is put out, or if runner trying to score is called out for batter’s interference. Rule 6.06© Comment: If the batter interferes with the catcher, the plate umpire shall call “interference.” The batter is out and the ball dead. No player may advance on such interference (offensive interference) and all runners must return to the last base that was, in the judgment of the umpire, legally touched at the time of the interference. If, however, the catcher makes a play and the runner attempting to advance is put out, it is to be assumed there was no actual interference and that runner is out—not the batter. Any other runners on the base at the time may advance as the ruling is that there is no actual interference if a runner is retired. In that case play proceeds just as if no violation had been called. If a batter strikes at a ball and misses and swings so hard he carries the bat all the way around and, in the umpire’s judgment, unintentionally hits the catcher or the ball in back of him on the backswing before the catcher has securely held the ball, it shall be called a strike only (not interference). The ball will be dead, however, and no runner shall advance on the play. Look up 6.03A That is the one they keep citing on the TV broadcast

This is one of the strangest innings ever.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:44 PM) The 2nd play was not an error on Andrus, it was an error on the 1B. He still has 2 errors. 1st batter and then dropping the ball at 3rd

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:43 PM) Definitely no intent but they did call the play dead didn't they? Yeah the home ump called it dead when Odor was about halfway to home (he would have been safe no matter what). I am confused as well why he can change that part of it. Andrus with the dropsies
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:39 PM) That was straddling the line if anything, imo that should have been a dead ball The rule is that is still a live ball if the ump thinks there was no intent of the batter to get in the way of the catcher. At least that is what they said on the TV broadcast a few times. I don't think Choo had any intent of getting in the way, I feel like he does that same move all the time.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) It was at the edge of the inside corner per the ESPN radio announcers Well I was watching on the TV and saw multiple replays. The bat was on the edge of the batters box, not the plate.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:30 PM) Hit the batter 's bat which was extended over home plate. It wasn't over the plate. The bat was still in the batters box.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 08:04 AM) People posting false death rumors on FB. :-/ It seems like he is unlikely to make it.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 07:09 AM) Lamar Odom, 35 - NBA basketball player, Ex-Kardashian spouse. Drug Overdose. He was found unconscious at a brothel but I don't think he has died. http://espn.go.com/newyork/nba/story/_/id/...-nevada-brothel

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) I really don't get why Garcia wasn't available. I am sure he was but Matheny wanted Lackey

That escalated quickly

QUOTE (Dunt @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 11:34 PM) @hoynsie: Chicago Sun-Times reporting White Sox have talked to Indians about 1B coach Sandy Alomar. ChiSox want Alomar to be bench coach. I would rather have Alomar be the manager.

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 11:30 PM) Kershaw game 4 and Greinke game 5 if needed. This is awful in terms of possible Cubs series if Dodgers win next 2. Looking at Arrieta vs Anderson or Wood in Game 1 I have said from the beginning Mets would win this series (not on here), I still think they will beat one of them. It's not like Mets have slouches pitching for them
