  1. I love Kiley and his pieces, so I think this is some must read material for Soxtalk: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2015-mlb-dr...-april-edition/
  2. KC quickly becoming a really unlikable team
  3. QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 19, 2015 -> 09:16 AM) If Quintana's velocity isn't better than it was in his last start, we may have to start worrying about his health. His fastball was consistently 88 to 89, for most of the game, after the 2ND inning. I didn't see the beginning, so I don't know how hard he was throwing early. I was seeing 91-93

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 10:26 PM) Let's give it a couple months before we start counting on EJ as a prospect. He has 8 IP this season. Phil Humber threw a perfect game once. While I completely understand what you're saying, it's very encouraging that his velocity has returned

I have no idea how Tim Anderson isn't considered a consensus top 50 prospect. Dude just hits.
  7. QUOTE (scs787 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 03:03 PM) Wasn't Crain pitching simulated games at the end of ST? Had a setback
  8. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) I believe one of Johnson or Sanchez will hold down 2B for the foreseeable future. If the sox draft Swanson it wouldn't surprise me to see them move Anderson off SS and try him at 3B. I don't get the impression his arm would stick at 3rd
  9. QUOTE (scs787 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 02:59 PM) So when do Petricka/Crain come back? Drabek es no bueno.. Petricka back tomorrow Holland to DL
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 11:27 AM) How does Swanson compare with Nick Gordon, Correa and Trea Turner? Seems to be a 15-18ish homer guy at the next level. How good is his D at ss? And what about Happ? I see him as a 12-15 HR guy with average to plus defense at SS. Very fluid movement, range seems pretty solid, and has more than enough arm. Ideally, thinking long term, I would love to draft him, have him slot in at SS in the near future, and move Anderson to second.
  11. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 02:04 PM) man, Chris is pitching so quickly right now. I love it. He gets in a rhythm and just throws it. Funny thing is he isn't even trying
  12. Put up 20 this game. Seriously. Pour this s*** on. Love seeing them destroy the Tigers in Detroit.
  13. Not the least bit impressed by Anibal. Dude is throwing some meatballs.
  14. QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 12:52 PM) Eaton BB Eaton SB Melky XBH Melky RBI Firsts! Lol
  15. If this offense ever gets a pulse, this could be a good team. Our pitching is kinda ridiculous.
  16. I've watched Vandy a couple times this season and I've been really impressed with how smooth of an athlete Dansby Swanson is. He's going to be a solid major league player, hope he's there at 8.

So what the hell is Courtney Hawkins?
  18. Buehler is pumping 94 in the 7th for anyone worrying about his frame
  19. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 04:03 PM) Meanwhile all Sanchez does is outhit Micah in spring, play an elite 2B in his cup of coffee last year, and he gets sent to AAA. After Ramirez' comments today they might have a full on mutiny on their hands. I'd slow down on that.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:52 PM) Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 6m6 minutes ago #WhiteSox official: It is "up to the umpires to determine when the flow of a play is over and the opportunity to challenge has passed." Oh boy, this is getting ugly quickly
  21. While I prefer that game to a lot of the others the Sox have played thus far, if the bats and defense dont get their act together quick, the Cell is going to be a ghost town by May.
  22. I don't know, outside of a few hanging sliders, Shark has looked sharp since 2nd inning Saturday.
  23. I shamelessly want to see Rodon in the rotation asap b/c I believe he gives the Sox a better chance to win and be a potential playoff team. I dont know that it has ever been done before, but why not have Danks and Noesi split the 5th start every week? It still seems as though the team doesnt want to use Danks in long relief, but Noesi might be a slightly better option in the 5th spot, so why not just have them combine to go 4-5 innings each 5th day? Might be able to save the bullpen a little and still get max value out of them.
