I'm not on a bandwagon, I've hated Billy Botch for years now. The trade, ummmm guess what, yep hated that too. He throws straight fastballs, so he doesn't strike batters out like a hard throwing closer should. He relies on a good team to bail him out and make him a good closer. He is often wild and therefore forced to locate his dead straight fastball over the fat part of the plate. "The point I was making was that guys like Koch and Armando Benitez who are known as hard throwers have s***ty games like this." At leats Benitez strikes people out. Botch doesn't nearly enough. When I saw him at Comiskey he didn't break 86 on the gun there, assuming it is 5-7 mph to low, Koch is way down in velocity. jim..thats the problem..koch isnt throwing 98..he wasnt even throwing 94 tonight...when he was with toronto all i ever heard was koch throws 102 mph..everytime i saw him pitch 94-96...now he cant even do that He sucked in Toronto when he could pitch 100, Billy Botch sucks f***ing crotch. Cujo plays for too, good a team. He thrives in situations like Gigure has now. When he played in Edmonton and Toronto they kept Curtis busy as hell and relied on him to steal game, that wasn't the case in Detroit and he never figured it out. Minnesota is the State of hockey, very true, the only team to retire a jersey # for their fans. Mass. has good hockey to it seems, but in 30 years you'll see much more ethnic diversity in the league, those kids in California playing roller hockey are only the beginning of the game spreading. While the pro game is eating s***, all other level are thriving.

I knew the A-Rod debate would arise, but Vlad just doesn't miss many pitches, good, ugly or otherwise, it's wild. Vlad goes 40-40 which is impossible in today's game and his arm is amaising. None of the three would be bad but that's how I'd go.
