QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 06:57 PM)
I really don’t like Davidson batting cleanup. I’m simply not a believer.
Even if I were one, he profiles as more of a 6 hitter. Having him at 4 just kills rallies
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 06:37 PM)
Moncada still looks like he has no chance batting righty
.286/.375/.429 as a RH this year entering today.
Small sample size? Of course.
Bigger sample size than yours? Yes.
QUOTE (WBWSF @ Apr 3, 2018 -> 01:14 PM)
He not only sucks but trading our best bullpen man (David Robertson) for him was nuts. Is there anybody in this bullpen as good as Robertson?
Jones. And Kahnle had more trade value than Robertson due to the team control
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 09:25 PM)
Why are we worried about it at this stage? For a couple of other washouts signed on MiLB deals? Meh.
Those washouts are at least younger and more appealing (Gomez due to past success, Rondon due to his fastball). Farquhar doesn't serve a purpose

And Charlotte is loaded with experienced arms to replace him. I personally wouldn't give up on him yet, but to each their own.
Why? He's 31 and a known commodity. Won't be here long term, zero trade value. He's another Tyler Clippard. I'd prefer someone with the upside of Gomez or Rondon who, possibly, could at least get an AJ Puckett type at the deadline
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 08:57 PM)
Farquhar must be good with the youngsters. If he does help them, he is worth keeping around, but garbage time should be more his slot.
Yeah, would've liked to see Infante, Minaya, or Soria there
QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 08:47 PM)
I think you can ask for the Eaton deal, but you might not get it.
They did ask for the Eaton deal, and that's why he's still on the White Sox
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 08:31 PM)
Well, I've heard Ricky's boys don't quit. This would be a nice time for them to prove it.
I mean, they also proved it the last two games haha
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 04:29 PM)
I can forgive him for a mistake. I just wish they'd have found a way to dump Shields. Pay half his salary or something to get him out of The Cell or Grate Field.
They probably will get rid of him somehow next month when Kopech is up, depending on how Fulmer is doing
It's well-written but I don't agree with the constant use of the word 'tanking'. I don't think the Sox were actively trying to lose games last season, and I also believe that the word has a connotation that the future is bleak for the team in question.
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 10:07 AM)
I'm sure Tim Anderson is happy. No doubt we'll likely see the fireworks with those two later on in the season though.
I would imagine that Tim would actually want to face him. After all, he did triple in the Stroman game after the initial incident
There is Rodon, who can come back and have a great 4 months. His injury history likely hurts his trade value, but if Hahn knows we're gonna get Boras'd anyway, we might as well get something for him
