My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 03:04 PM) Really, we're already complaining about no moves being made yet? Jacob Turner!

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 12:53 PM) Yeah Goodell is pretty much powerless. Yup, it's annoying. Players get deserved suspensions and they always get reduced. Take Tom Brady, for example. Less extreme than Hardy, of course, but he still deserved to be suspended and it didn't happen.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 12:50 PM) Jerry Jones is a moron, but it's not hard to see why Hardy is playing and Rice isn't. Hardy is a Pro Bowler and Rice is garbage. But as people, they're both garbage, and while I watch a lot of Cowboys, I can't watch that moron on the field. They're both Pro-Bowlers.

2015-2016 NFL Thread
Even before today, it was a well-known fact that Hardy is an asshole who shouldn't be in the league. How he's playing for the Cowboys and Ray Rice is unemployed is beyond me. No, I'm not saying Rice > Hardy, I'm saying they're equally terrible.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 10:35 AM) Shuck is under team control through the '19 season. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/shuckja01.shtml Thanks. All I could find is that his contract expired after 2015, but I thought we had control of him.

The 40-man, Rule 5, and roster decisions

My/Your Off Season Plan
Quick question- is JB Shuck a free agent, or is he still under team control?

Fangraphs Free Agent Predictions-Dave Cameron.
His vision of our OF doesn't make sense. Cabrera/Eaton/Garcia... Thompson and Young? We don't need Chris Young, especially at his suggested price.

Two poll questions as we enter the offseason
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 10:08 AM) No, someone brought up Chris Young the outfielder and former Sox prospect vs. Chris Young the pitcher. Yes, but then you started to analyze Chris Young the pitcher's value and Kris Medlen. It had already been established that we were talking about the OF Chris Young.

2015-2016 NBA Thread
If the Bulls want to beat Cleveland in the playoffs, each of the following has to happen: -Rose plays like he did last night (which actually isn't too far-fetched) -Butler plays good defense but remains a viable offensive option -Mirotic has to come to play, and not put up 2 points like last night -At least 3 of our top 4 bigs have to be healthy (Portis would slip into the #4 spot) -McDermott and Moore have to continue being solid role players Not impossible, but we'll see.

2015 Videogame thread
QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 09:46 PM) Why is that such a bad thing? Because I feel like it's missing that indescribable, authentic Star Wars feel. Side note, Instant Action was by far my favorite game mode and as far as I know, it's not an option in the new one

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 09:43 PM) Really? It went from a no-s*** purchase to a "maybe eventually" type of buy. Agreed. The first two battlefronts were my childhood, but this one just looks like Battlefield with Star Wars characters to me.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 09:36 PM) Butler played Durant very well He had a great 2-way game. Terrific defense and efficient offense. Noah was fantastic too. The only bad thing for us this game was Mirotic. 2 points in 15 minutes.

Two poll questions as we enter the offseason
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 08:31 PM) I went with Avila and Alexei as the most plausible options, IMHO. Avila's LHB at catcher makes some sense He's a LHH who hit .203 vs RHP last year.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 07:41 PM) Bring Pau off the bench McDermott is now starting for Snell, but I wouldn't mind our lineup being Rose-Butler-McDermott-Mirotic-Noah. I would put Gibson in over Noah, but we need a true center starting. Can't have Gasol and Noah together.

I don't get why anyone would want to sign Steve Pearce, Chris Young (OF), or Alex Avila for $5 million a year.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 07:45 PM) So what was the lesson to learn here? Don't go out and do nothing wrong whatsoever? Well, he certainly shouldn't be putting himself in situations where things like this can happen. Just because he's "young and full of hormones" doesn't mean he can't be responsible. For $84 million, it's not too much to ask of him.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 01:46 PM) Interleague 2.32 era 0.951 WHIP. Career 2.43 ERA 1.033 WHIP But half of those IL starts are at home, where the pitcher has to bat.

My/Your Off Season Plan
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 12:45 PM) I am sure they saw that comment above. Great. My point is that I know Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball (and obviously better than Quintana), but I don't think I'm "nuts" for thinking that his ERA would be 2 or higher if he had to face a DH instead of a pitcher once every 9 batters. He'd still be the best, and his ERA probably would be close to 2, but it would surely increase.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 10:03 AM) Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball. It's not really that close either. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 11:58 AM) lmao you are nuts. Kershaw is crazy dominant See the comment below. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 12:09 PM) Kershaw is clearly the best pitcher in baseball, but I don't think it's at all crazy to suggest he wouldn't have an ERA under 2 in the AL. I very much doubt that as well.
