QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) I want LaRoche to hit a home run in the first inning. I just want him to not strike out or GIDP in any inning.

I love how GameDay mobile now shows the speed and movement of pitches on the PitchTrax. Sale's 97 MPH strikeout pitch to Bryant came in very fast and had lots of late movement on the app. It really depicts his nastiness.

Wasn't Bryant 0-4 against Sale with 4 strikeouts last time? Lmao Bryant is property of Chris Saele

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 3m3 minutes ago Washington, DC Saladino said when he was younger, he thought the coolest thing would be to be No. 1 on ESPN Top Plays. He hit that goal last night

Winner of today's game gets the Cup!

At the time, it seemed like a good signing because he was going to serve as a superutility man. Then Shuck started playing well and we signed Beckham, essentially eliminating his role.

7-8-9 IMO should be Saladino/Sanchez/Flowers, not Sanchez/Flowers/Saladino.

So now our bench is Shuck, Thompson, Beckham, Soto. 2 outfielders. That's really unnecessary.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 15, 2015 -> 09:59 PM) And a hockey team whose star is facing rape charges. And a basketball team who has almost 0 shot to compete with the cavs and fired an elite coach. God it's depressing At least golf should be good tomorrow I supoose As meager as things look for the Sox, Bulls, Bears, and Hawks, at least we have the Bulls and Hawks making the playoffs every year now. At least there's something.

Only positive from this game was Saladino's catch

2015 LaRoche = 2011 Dunn 2016 LaRoche = 2012 Dunn? I sure hope so.

Duke retired all 6 batters he faced yesterday

All started by a bad throw from duke to alexei

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 15, 2015 -> 08:31 PM) Are there any Sox fans in attendance tonight? There's me, and like one other

Why would a Cubs fan throw a water bottle at Scwharber? Whoever it was just got kicked out.

Classless sox fan threw a drink at schwarber. Makes us look bad

And that's an earned run for Quintana...

Fowler Schwarber Bryant Rizzo Soler (DH) Denorfia Castro Ross Russell Arrieta

Eaton Saladino Abreu Cabrera Garica LaRoche Ramirez Sanchez Flowers Quintana

Jeffery, Royal, Wilson... yikes. My prediction goes from 6-10 to 5-11.

LaRoche is starting at DH and batting 6th.

Should be a low scoring game due to the pitching matchup, but you never know.

QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Aug 15, 2015 -> 10:12 AM) Not so much a rant on Shark, but... Remember when media, Sox fans, and the organization itself was lauding Samardzija as a second ace and everyone was talking about the Sale/Shark combo, completely ignoring that Jose Quintana is a much better and more reliable pitcher? Quintana gets no love. I can count on one hand the number of jerseys/shirseys I've seen at the park aside from my own. Saw plenty of "one year of control" Samardzija shirts... Agreed. I still think he should have been the Opening Day starter.

Come on, guys... you can hate on Samardzija, but it really wasn't a bad trade. We'll see how Ravelo does, but as for the others... there was no place for Bassitt on this team, Phegley is a backup, and Semien has been the worst defensive player in baseball.
