  1. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) Tyler's chances of making the all star team are starting to disappear. The funniest part is, he actually did have a chance. The AL catchers are so bad.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:17 PM) Unreal how much he guesses at the plate yet his BABIP remains the same
  3. I cringe whenever Tyler has a full count now... it seems like he's swinging regardless of location
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:14 PM) If that was true then why don't other managers do it? Tell me, when is the last time you saw a manager pull a pitcher after throwing a second ball? I haven't seen it once this season I haven't seen them do it this season either.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:13 PM) How bout a grounder to the right side rather than a bunt? I'll take a bunt though. As we learned recently, Tyler can bunt.
  6. How awful has the music they play at The Cell become...
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) You have no idea if either the starter or replacement will walk or strike him out, but it isn't fair to the next pitcher to only allow him one pitch outside of the zone There is a reason managers don't do it I don't care about what's fair or what's not, the reliever will, by statistics, have a higher chance of getting the batter out than the worn-down starter.
  8. "Brad Ausmus going out to Porcello" *looks at catcher, but he doesn't look like Brad Ausmus* Still adjusting.
  9. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:08 PM) Wait can you even do that? yes, I've seen it done before
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 09:07 PM) Why should the next pitcher be responsible for that walk? The next pitcher might not walk him; I'd rather have a fresh arm in who can actually throw a strike rather than a tired starter who will almost definitely walk him.
  11. Scott Downs just looks... awkward in our home unis. Good pitch right there
  12. Never been a fan of waiting until the end of the AB to bring in a reliever. If the first two pitches were nowhere close and it's 2-0, don't wait for him to walk the guy and just call the 'pen.
  13. Viciedo is even worse than awful at defense.
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:51 PM) I've given up on Viciedo. Even with his better approach he can't consistently hit balls in the zone. He yanks off so many pitches. I agree, but when Viciedo's seeing the ball well, he'll put the whole damn team on his back for a week or two. Then he'll have a two month dry spell.
  15. My question was lost during the HR- Conor is hitting .355, when does he become eligible as an AVG leader?
  16. hit parade, all welcome. even Dunn
  17. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Ok Abreu quit f***ing around and hit a blast ok
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Gordon and Conor are basically automatic at this point Imagine our offense without them this past week.
  19. Conor now hitting .355. When does he become eligible for AVG leaders?
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:40 PM) Rienzo and Noesi cannot both be called the 5th starter. I refer to Andre as #4
  21. He did it! Beckham now hitting .301.
  22. Also, what the f*** is up with my boy Abreu?
