Enjoying this for as long as it lasts. Gotta give Avi credit, he's knocking the s*** out of the baseball. Great job by the pen too.

QUOTE (Soha @ Apr 16, 2017 -> 07:54 PM) The Cubs bullpen was gashed today. Hmm, Robertson for Happ? Ok I'm getting greedy here Be greedy, it's a good idea. I would probably s*** myself if the cubs were willing to trade Happ for Robertson, not that I expect them to. But hey, we can dream right?

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 15, 2017 -> 02:46 PM) You don't play baseball games for the sole purpose of trading your players. Why don't we just enjoy baseball and root for the Sox for awhile Is it not possible to enjoy baseball while discussing the potential future trades? I know I'm enjoying White Sox baseball.

IIRC , Robertson usually gets off to a good start so he should have nice value when teams start looking for bullpen help in June/July. In the mean time just hope Robertson continues to pitch well and rack up saves.

Not religious and do not have kids so for me Easter is just another day like most holidays. Don't make any special dinners or get together with relatives, just hang and chill with my lady doing what we usually do which is fine with us.

Chicago White Sox @ Minnesota Twins 4/14/17

Hi I'm Garcia, this is my brother Garcia and this is my other brother Garcia. -
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 08:10 PM) No reason for him to still be in low A. Yeah, it probably won't take long for him to move up to WS. I know Hansen had a rough first outing but I don't think he spends too much time in Kanny either. The next wave of pitchers is Lopez, Giolito, Fulmer but the wave after them (Kopech, Dunning, Hansen) could be just as interesting, if not more.
-
Thinking Dunning is finished. 8IP 3H 1R 0ER 0BB 13K 95 pitches 71 strikes 7 ground out's 2 fly out Damn!
-
Dunning so far... 7IP 1R 0ER 0BB 12K 82 pitches with 62 strikes. Sick numbers for Dunning tonight.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 07:22 PM) I still think people are panicking way too early on Giolito. He's restoring his old delivery and I would not expect his veleocity to immediately return. Let's give him a few months before jumping to any conclusions. I Think it's only fair to point out that Giolito's development was stunted by TJ surgery and is still just 22 years old at AAA. I agree, too early yet to panic. Even if Giolito takes all of this season to develop, he could still begin the '18 season with the Sox at just 23 years old. Give him all the time he needs. As for the games tonight. Damn, have yourself a night Dane Dunning!

Basabe 2-3 with a triple.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 07:01 PM) Basabe back also Would be awesome if he could heat up. That's kid has gobs of potential with the bat, glove and legs.
-
So far Dunning is looking good through three. Cruz and Collins each with doubles. Birmingham getting ready to start.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 06:12 PM) i know there is no reason to rush guys, but fisher should probably be in high A before too long Can make a case for Remillard too. Seeing as how they are college draftees I wouldn't think bumping them to Winston-Salem would be too aggressive.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 05:41 PM) I don't think Adams will ever be a strikeout pitcher which is fine but he needs to be an effective groundball pitcher Agree, Adams won't be a strike out pitcher but his K rate is still low even for a non-strikeout pitcher. If Adams could learn how to throw a good Splitter/Sinker with his control, he could be a ground ball machine. He has enough height to get a good downward angle. Not concerned about Adams though. Kid is still young. I think he's been kind of lost in the mix with Giolito, Lopez and Dunning being added to the farm recently.

QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 04:08 PM) Speaking of neither of them, are people no longer excited about Spencer Adams. he's only 21 (today, happy birthday spencer, have a beer!) and at AA. His walk rate is still great. Is it just the low K rate that has everyone cooling on him? I think many fans are waiting to see how Adams responds this year. AA was a challenge for him last year but he held his own. Also waiting to see if his K rate comes up.

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 09:31 AM) Good to know. Didn't know Happ had that much experience in the OF. Did the Cubbies move him to 2B because he sucked in OF? Bad arm? Perceived need at the time? Like I said, I am all about adding another 3B prospect to the mix, especially as the 3rd or 4th piece of a Q deal, but I like our chances of finding a future 3B out of Saladino, Trey M., Davidson and Delmonico. Mainly Saladino. I just think that dude can play, and I haven't given up on Trey. Davidson and Delmonico are long shots to stick at 3B. I think Happ's arm is average or a tick better but not sure about his defense. According to the top 100, Happ looks destined for LF. If we can survive Melky in LF I'm sure Happ would be just fine. His bat and eye are what I'm after. Agree about Davidson and Delmonico. Both should be 1B/DH. I like Saladino and he's fine for third base, I just like Candelerio's age, SH bat and potential for 20HR+ at the 3B position. One thing for sure, Happ and Candelerio both are hot in Iowa right now. Cubs may end up looking to trade Schwarber for pitching and call up Happ. I don't count on the Sox and cubs actually making a trade but it is interesting to talk about because the teams match up so well for a trade.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 10:42 AM) I don't think they'd DFA Frazier but I definitely agree with you in regards to Davidson. He's looked really good so far this season. I'm just sick and tired of Frazier. Every at-bat he goes up there, flails his arms, and is completely off balance. He has no approach whatsoever and tries to pull everything. Dude hits more infield popups than anyone I've ever seen. He has looked pretty bad so far, aside from yesterday if course. This is why I wonder about his oblique. From what I recall those injuries can be difficult to heal. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 10:43 AM) Cut him? No way. Hasn't been great, but he hasn't been that bad. Yeah, not something I'm counting on. Just throwing s*** at the wall out of boredom on a rainy morning while trying to figure out why they called up another RH OF bat.
-
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 10:30 AM) Kind of off topic but Frazier has been a massive disappointment with the Sox. I realize they didn't give up much for him, but still. He's very underwhelming. Just to stir the rumor cauldron, you think it's possible the Sox cut bait with Frazier and give 3B to Davidson? Frazier doesn't really have value at the moment and he hasn't looked good at the plate. At this point ( can't believe I'm saying this), Davidson just might be more productive now and in the near future than Frazier. We know there's no future with Frazier but there is the slight possibility of Davidson having a future with the rebuilding Sox. Not the I'm holding my breath.
-
May would make sense to send down but then who backs up CF behind Leury? Not sure it's May. Doubt it's Asche because I think Delmonico would get the call to take Asche's place as a LH bench/platoon bat. Wonder if Frazier is still dealing with the oblique and possibly headed to the DL. This would open up 3B for Davidson to play and create a hole at DH for Avi or Willy to slide into. This is the only way I can make sense of the Sox calling up a right handed hitting outfielder.

Todd father going to the DL for a ten day DL colon clense on Mount Shasta. Welcome to the White Sox Willy G.
