I thought somebody wrote an article about this very subject of who's in charge or what happens to the whitesox when Jerry steps down, leaves, or passes. I like the idea of spreading out the buyout. RH might have to get creative again and I believe he can get Cruz signed. As far as Vaughn, he is quickly becoming an older prospect (25 yrs old I think?) I know they have been working him at multiple positions. Corner outfield, 3rd base, etc. I do like that. Edit: Vaughn is 22. My apologies.

He's really got to think that at age 40 you're really only going to get 1 yr offers or 1 + 1 team option offers. Are there teams out there willing to give Cruz 2 or 3 yr contracts guaranteed? There might be one. Idk.

Oh yeah this definitely has Kenny Williams all over it. I believe one of the foodies said the Sox had internal talks and interest in Cruz at the beginning of the offseason.

The funny thing is that I thought Hector was referring to the Passan article. Not paying attention to Cruz taking batting practice. And since then has had 2 or 3 posts with Cruz and Whitesox or good news coming to whitesox fans! Something is happening.

What did Hector say last week when Cruz was taking batting practice that started all of this?
