Early trouble for Chris. Let's go -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 07:55 AM) This is exactly right. First, anyone who thought he'd get to AAA and suddenly hit .300, I don't know what to tell you. Every indication was that this level would be a challenge, and that he'd likely struggle at first. And that's what we are seeing. Let the guy develop. Second, understand why he was able to hit as well as he did before without walking much or at all. He's got insanely fast hands, excellent barrel control and prime athleticism. Those things can't be taught. But he was not only over-aggressive, he was also going in without a good plan at times, and made poor choices on swing judgment. Those things CAN be taught, though obviously there's no guarantee he learns it. But it's crucial to see that his downfall right now is something repairable. Just adjust your thinking to be 2017 for Anderson, which is what it should have been all along, and you'll feel more comfortable. This was my sentiment exactly. I'm glad we're off to a good start and giving Timmy time to develop. I figured there would be an adjustment period. Let's see how he's doing in another month or so. We're slowly seeing hitters in this organization develop. He's the best of the bunch and will be fine IMO.

Man what a game! This was a huge win. Love this teams resiliency. This team has the belief they can come back on anyone. Goddang I love Eaton! Great bunt to get on, nice AB BB by Carlos and Abreu driving Eaton in. Then Eaton with yet another terrific defensive play. I don't care if anyone likes it or not but I love AJax. Always have liked him. His defense has lockdown CF and allowed Eaton to move to a much more natural outfield spot and it's showing. He doesn't have a great bat but his ABs are professional and great at times. He also has some clutch hits so far. Didn't watch til the 7th because of the Penguins game. How did Latos look against a really good offense?

OP MVP -
Angels unloading on Volquez tonight. 8 runs on 12 hits. Had the bases loaded 3 times. Royals defense was suspect that inning which they added 5 runs.

QUOTE (Dizzy Sox @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 08:41 PM) I'd take Collins at #10 in a heartbeat. Lefty bat, improved all 3 years at a major program, solid hit tool, plus power, improving defense and excellent plate discipline. I'd take that if he was strictly a corner infielder, much less someone who could potentially catch. In fact, now that I think about it...you could have used almost exactly the same profile on Schwarber coming out of college. I don't think Collins is as good as Schwarber, but to have at least a somewhat similar comp...not bad at all. Sounds good to me. Honestly, as long as it's BPA, I don't care who they take. Even another pitcher. This organization develops it well. I'm hoping for a bat though.

You don't wana play this team right now. Bats are heating up in a hurry. I knew it was only a matter of time. Abreu is snapping out of it finally. This team is for real. Great rotation, awesome pen, lineup is coming around and has very good timely hitting. Oh and the defense is now pretty good. My guy AJax is starting to heat up some as well. He sure does come up with bases loaded a lot. I'm very comfortable with that situation. This team is fun!

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 07:39 PM) Wish they would have used MY GUY Jennings instead. He's pitched like 4 times this year, even if this would have been a back to back I like Jennings What an ass kicking tonight! -

I knew this offense would heat up. I gave up saying it for a couple games because it was becoming too frequent calling it every game. This is a statement series right here. Coming and getting 2 wins and kicking their ass with our ace on the mound. Avi is starting to look a lot better this series. That's been big for the club. Man I love this team. -

QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 02:11 PM) My thoughts as well. Oh well. I agree because Sands has more patience at the plate. -
That stinks. Tough luck for Smith and our catching position, however it does give Hector a chance.
