I'm hoping he's scratched tomorrow and we move him.

My How Things Have Changed in 4 Days

I'd like to see rest of the way: Finish with at least 81 wins Carlos Sanchez lockdown 2B and Saladino 3B Move Shark and EJ show he can be a 4 or 5. Sale win CY Young This offense get going and finish strong -
@jamesschmehl: Pretty big news: #Tigers are moving Shane Greene to the bullpen. Buck Farmer will fill his spot in the rotation. Lol but they're buying right?

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 04:54 PM) Yuck. My sentiment exactly.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) Wonder if Tulo moving to the DH spot would help with the health thing. That was my idea with CarGo. RF and DH. That would help with his health I'm sure.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 03:00 PM) I didn't realize how bad his last few years had been either. Ugh. No way on both unless there is a lot of cash coming our way. A LOT. Oh I looked it all up while floating the idea. Tulo has a f***ing brinks truck coming his way.
-
My CarGo idea was just floated because I was trying to think of a realistic bat we could go get. And it would be up Kennys ally to go get CarGo. I'm not saying give up the farm for him nor take on all his contract. COL is going to have to eat most of it.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 02:57 PM) Quintana is worth Schwarber plus two or three more interesting pieces. If Quintana were on any team other than the White Sox, he would be an All-Star twice by now. Because of his win total alone lol. He'd have better run support and would have a lot more wins.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 02:52 PM) Last three years away from Coors Gonzalez has a .759 OPS and a .309 OBP. Hard pass, especially given the contract, injury history, and possibly giving up a pretty good prospect. What if it was Avi and Montas for CarGo. Still no?
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 02:49 PM) Unless the Rockies are picking up almost all of that contract, Cargo would be a horrible deal for the White Sox. Tulo, we can talk about. Tulo who makes like $20 million you can talk about. Who is hurt a lot. Has played 86 games. But you dismiss Cargo and his 2 yr $37 million. He's hurt a lot too but has played 88 games this season. CarGo fits a need and can move Avi as part of the deal maybe.
-
Oh the old Twitter following.
-
On the rundown, they mentioned Chicago and Colorado as a match for Tulo or CarGo. CarGo is much more likely. Just funny he mentioned us as match and mentioned Tim Anderson. I wouldn't be happy with moving Andersom for Cargo. Honestly I don't have much interest in Tulo. Always hurt and still has a f***ing gigantic contract. Whereas, Cargo has 2 for $37 left. That's quite a bit for 2 years but I wouldn't mind nabbing him and having him split RF and DH. Wonder if a Garcia, Montas package is enticing to them at all.
-
As much as I love Q, the time maybe now or offseason to move him if we can add a true impact bat.
-
Since we're throwing bats out there. I've seen the Orioles were thinking of possibly moving Chris Davis. Would you be interested in him? He's a FA after the year. Not sure what it'd take. We get him then trying to move LaRoche (unlikely I know).
-
Seems like the Jays are the only serious suitor. LA wants price or Hamels.
-
According to Dan Hayes of CSNChicago.com, the Blue Jays have been most aggressive on Jeff Samardzija. Hayes adds that the Giants are also interested. Samardzija owns a 3.91 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 108/26 K/BB ratio in 140 1/3 innings this season with the White Sox and he's been especially dominant lately. The 30-year-old impending free agent should yield a nice return package. It looked for a while like the Pale Hose might have to sell low on him. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 11:15 AM) If they waived LaRoche, they would have to eat $15-$16 million. Zero chance that happens. Ya that part was crazy I'm just sick of seeing him. He's going to stay because of money.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 11:10 AM) Caulfield was calling him a Cy Young candidate in April. LOL. That's your typical case of too soon.
-
Here goes my buy and sell idea. Package Avi, Montas and some other prospects for CarGo. He's played 88 games and would be the impact bat we could possibly get without giving up Anderson. CarGo has been fairly healthy this season. I'd bring up Trayce Thompson to platoon the outfield and DH with CarGo to give him his off days in the field. I'll probably be tarred and feathered for this idea but here it is. I wouldn't trade pen arms. We need them. I'd keep Shark and waive LaRoche and Bonafacio. Ofcoutse that's me spending their money.
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 10:27 AM) If they trade Price, their rotation will be so bad... It will be as bad as our offense IMO. Coupled with that abortion of a pen
-
Simon was boom or bust from the beginning. Their staff sucks. Detroit is finished IMO. Go ahead and buy. That's good for us, I just don't see how they can do it unless they move Kinsler or Cespedes.
