  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2015 -> 11:52 AM) Very, very interesting to hear Stone say Saladino might be the SS of the future. Well haven't they said Tim Anderson could be moved from SS?
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 26, 2015 -> 11:50 AM) When Abreu humps you, you get his power. Awesome!
  3. Um...WTH was that celebration with Abreu?!
  4. If we can add a couple bats somehow someway this rotation with Sale, Rodon, and Q is awesome when they get going.
  5. Just get rid of Flowers and LaRoche. Go. Away.
  6. Royals fans are nervous about the package. Just be happy you're going for it and cream of the crop in the AL.
  7. Sounds like Finnegan is part of the haul CIN got.
  8. That's good for us and Shark trade. TOR will be coming for him
  9. I'm hoping we can get Shark off the market before Price become available.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 25, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) Three wins vs. Cleveland don't make us a contender. Exactly. That's what I've said last night.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 25, 2015 -> 02:39 PM) I don't think it is a young guy these days vs a young guy 10 or 20 or 30 years ago. Some guys just aren't soundbites. Some people just aren't great for an interview.
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 25, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) If the Sox think they can get to 84-78, they should stand pat. That's 39-28 the rest of the way. Sell? We're beating up the Cleveland Indians though, not the Royals. This team is a fraud with this lineup. Sell. Sell. Sell.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 07:53 PM) Jose Quintana, Jeff Samardzija, Alexei Ramirez, Avisail Garcia, and Emilio Bonifacio for Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson, Julio Urias, and Corey Seager. That sure is crazy lol. No one wants Bonifacio. You're not getting all those guys from LA without including Sale.
  14. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 08:49 PM) This. Sox are horrible at developing everyday position players. That's their biggest need. Pitching they can do with their eyes closed. So you should trade some of that pitching to get everyday players. I wonder if you could get away with trading Shark and Melky to the Dodgers. IMO that's not enough because Shark is a rental and Melky is older. Puig is controlled through 2019. That's why I believe Q is a good match for Puig trade. I'd prefer obviously to move Shark, Avi and like Montas for Puig.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 08:25 PM) Q is pretty darn good. The Sox's only hope for the future is building on this excellent starting staff. I would only trade Shark and closer Robertson off the staff. The only hope is to try again and acquire new everyday lineup guys. Trade Melky now that he's hot. Trade LaLob. Trade Lexi. Trade Eaton, but I would keep most of the starting pitching. It's really the team's only hope to ever contend again, to dominate on the mound and keep trying to find everyday players worth a s***. Sometimes to add an impact bat ya need to move an impact starter. I love Q and not thrilled about moving him, but we've shown the ability to draft and develop pitching. We can't develop hitters worth dick.
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 08:16 PM) Isn't Puig the pretentious prick? Which of his teammates are, other than Greinke? I don't know about all that. I just know he brings excitement and would make this team popular and sell tickets. We need that too
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 08:04 PM) He won't put butts in the seats if the Sox have 1 reliable starter next year and the Sox lose 85 games If we could get Puig without moving sale that'd be nice. Shark plus prospects or Shark, Q and something for Puig, and prospects.
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 24, 2015 -> 05:42 PM) Went over to the Dodgers board, yeah its a complete joke. They were coming at me, and don't think it would cost one of the big 3 to get Sale lol Some fans are delusional. "Bah! We're a top tier team we don't need to get rid of our top prospects! Arrrrrr!"
