  1. Not a great start. f*** KC and their BS duck snorts
  2. Eaton won't get 35 SBs nor will Avi hit 25 HRs. Eatons 5 SB and CS 4X is just plain sad. Avi is only at 7 HRs. Not coming close to 25. Guess that's why they're bold predictions lol.
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:55 AM) f*** the Pack but anyways. I go to 15-20 games a year. I've had several years where I've lost 8. Including the last three now. This one's on me... I'm no pack fan lol. Just what he did.
  4. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:30 AM) I think an NL team will pick him up. Hopefully we can get an arm for him A deal would've been made if there was one out there.
  5. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:17 AM) I'll be there. Putting my 1-8 record to the test. You're due buddy! Go get em (Brett Favre slap on the ass)
  6. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:49 AM) whether pitching sale on fri (dh) or sun, i would like to add throw sat in there. sale is going to see the royals. me, i had no problem with sale not pitching fri, i think i would strike while the iron was hot and have sale pitched on sat. if sale pitched on sat and won, the monkey would be on kc to win on sun. adding more pressure and a pos of a nice run for the sox. Meh, Shark needed to set the tone. He's been pitching well. He wants a $100 million dollar contract, so he needs to prove it. This team isn't capable of a real "run." The offense and defense won't allow it. We've been playing better lately, but they're not for real.
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:37 AM) and i agree, i just don't want to jump in the group of enthusiast fans and when things goes bad, as there is always going to be a recovery period, many will turn against him. and that turn, so to speak becomes really ugly. i just want to be even keel and see if i am seeing things differently. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think anyone here is claiming him to be great. I'm just eager to watch him the rest of the year.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 01:33 AM) I'm really down on Robin after today's game and this series. You guys that despise Ozzie ... he never would be this laid back in search of getting back in the race. Robin doesn't pitch Robertson. WTF with that? Four innings to Jennings? Robin basically conceded ANOTHER game. No urgency with this guy or this team. Letting Jennings pitch another inning was suicide for the White Sox team on Saturday. Robin also pitches Danks and Shark in the DH instead of Sale/Shark. No sense of urgency to tell the Royals "for once we are going to f***ing kick your ass." They save Sale for "another day." Very sad. This team has no competitiveness and it starts with Robin. You guys asked to get rid of one guy who would go down screaming/fighting/clawing if the Royals came to town and he was in charge: Ozwald Guillen!!!! What's the difference between pitching Sale the DH and today? Robin is completely different than Ozzie. We all know that. It doesn't mean he doesn't care. He isn't going to embarrass himself the way Ozzie did at times. You can bash Robin for pitching Danks in the DH but he won. He pitches well against the Royals. We have Sale today, and if Shark pitched like he should have and won Friday then we'd be talking about taking 3 of 4 today with Sale pitching.
  9. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 10:13 AM) This. LaRoche has just been plain bad. I know people slump but I don't even remember the last time he had a big hit. Sit him and Let Shuck DH. I have been saying to let Conor do it since he's bad isn't terribad but LaRoche can't protect Abreu, no one on this team can really. That's why I wanted VMart. But not at his contract. We need some protection for Abreu.
  10. Lol at the people dissing Hahn. He was part of the roster reconstruction but it's not his fault this team can't hit or defend.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 09:53 AM) Spoke too soon, I guess. Albers back up Lol seen that. Was like wow as soon as he said it minutes later moves made.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) What's your definition of an elite pitcher? Quintana was top-ten in WAR in 2014, had a 2.81 FIP, and has a 3.24 FIP this year. Seems elite to me. Q is absolutely an elite type pitcher. Put him back on the Yankees and he's well known and talked about.
  13. @whitesox: White Sox have also designated infielder Conor Gillaspie for assignment. @whitesox: White Sox have returned RHP Matt Albers from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class AA Birmingham and reinstated him from the DL. Bringing up Albers has our 40 man at 38. @whitesox: Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster is at 38.
  14. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 09:25 AM) Ok this one is crazy. Smardzija, Avisail Garcia , Frankie Montas ,and Jose Abreu to Houston for George Springer, Jon Singleton , Mark Appel and Chris Devenski.
  15. Splitting a four game series is no shame. Sale has 13 Ks and we win 5-2. Abreu hits for the cycle today.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 09:06 AM) The White Sox will not be trading guys like Melky and Robertson that they just signed. They tried to win in 2015. They'll add in the offseason and try to win again in 2016. Samardzija will most likely get moved. I could see a reliever or Ramirez go as well. My point to Greg was that there wasn't going to be some giant firesale. There won't be a fire sale but I can see a few guys moved and Conor DFA.
  17. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 08:30 AM) i am a little confuse on Saladino and his hitting. in the past, in the minors, he really was an inconsistent hitter. last yr being the only yr he hit over 300+. this yr in the minors, he was hitting 250+. now he is hitting 300+/-. so what kind of hitting can i expect to see if the continues to stay up??? You've pointed out that he is inconsistent. So, he will probably end the year in a slump. Or he continues to hit well the rest of the year. I mean we are due for some good luck aren't? Sooner rather than later hopefully.
  18. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 08:18 AM) but that cost control contract is the reason not too, that is unless another team will be willing to pay its weight i n gold, so to speak. I understand that. But we need someone besides Abreu who can f***ing hit the ball.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2015 -> 11:38 PM) Agreed, you run the risk of making the only strength of the team (starting pitching) into a possible weakness and there's no guarantee you hit on the players received in the package. With the Sox likely to lose Samardzija soon/end of season, I would like to avoid a situation where you're relying on Rodon to be your #2 next season. I'm not so eager to trade him. But this offense is a f***ing disaster and needs fixed. Q is one of my favorite players. We've shown the ability to develop pitching not hitting.
  20. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 18, 2015 -> 10:29 PM) 1 good ML ready hitter? That's not nearly enough for Quintana. Q trades could be entertained in offseason but I doubt it. Well I doubt we'd get three elite prospects so one elite one and a couple other solid prospects.
  21. Time to sell definitely. Shark for sure, DFA Conor, and only move Quintana if we can get a very good MLB ready hitter. I love Quintana but this lineup needs retooled bad.
  22. I would love to think we're in it but it's false hope. This lineup can't produce
  23. Hahn absolutely has to sell. This lineup isn't showing signs of improvement.
  24. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) Sale AND Quintana to the Cubs for Bryant, Soler, Castro, Schwarber, Edwards, McKinney, Baez, Steele, Vogelbach, and Almora. JFC
