QUOTE (Chris Sale @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 06:36 PM) Martinez hit a deep fly ball, Eaton gets a good jump and grabs it just before slamming into the wall. Hawk narrates it as if it is Willie Mays, which adds a bit to the melodrama of the moment (it was a good catch though) I bet

Great start Noesi.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 07:35 PM) Victor hit one deep right center Eaton got a great jump and caught the ball on track. Ok thanks man

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 07:14 PM) Looks like tomorrow night could be a washout. Since the Tigers are already making up a bunch of games in August, I could see a doubleheader Wednesday or Thursday. Detroit could be fatigued big time come august and september

QUOTE (Tmar @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 06:47 PM) Nope, everybody in the stadium knows a slider low and away is coming and he'll strike out on 3 straight you're f***ing crazy or trolling. The guys never faced these pitchers. He'll adjust and be fine. He also needs a better hitter behind him.

QUOTE (Tmar @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 04:02 PM) oh great, dummy abreu is playing again Dummy Abreu? Sarcasm I hope

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 03:54 PM) I think you'll find out pretty soon. Great sure hope he signs soon.

Get back on track Sox!

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Both Abreu and Alexei are in 2nd. Abreu is trailing by plenty, but Ramirez is within striking distance. Make sure you #VoteAbreu and #VoteMissle. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/mlb/derek-...p;vkey=news_mlb I voted quite a bit for both

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 02:09 PM) 3 HRs, 6 2Bs and a 3B over his last 10.5 games. I'd say that's pretty good. Anderson, Danish and Michalczewski all having promising first halves to highlight Rick Hahn's first draft class. That class and this years could set up Rick very nicely. Well see though.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 12:11 AM) I told my dog that Sale would give up a grandslam to Mike Trout tonight and that the Sox would lose. See, I knew we should have never started Sale. I knew it would end this way. Saw it all the way. RV is stupid for ever starting Sale against this team. He just got off the DL for the love of god! Ok now you're overboard.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 12:05 AM) But it's not common sense. He was dominating this lineup. He has been dominating everyone. He came off the DL over a month ago. It's not like he was at 110 pitches. He was at like 91. There was no reason to give the Angels a chance by taking him out at 7. Even after 1 hit I was not ready to take him out. He pitched over baserunners before. For me, it wasn't until Alexei made that error and the emotions were likely running through Chris that I would have suggested removing him. We all have different opinions on when he should have left, but to say it's so obvious and we all knew better is cheapened by the fact that we all said this after the bases were loaded. Next time, I want people to make their opinions about when a guy should be pulled, pinch hit for, replaced defensively, or whatever WHEN IT HAPPENS. Then you will all get credit for being smarter than RV. But all this "I knew it all along" stuff is just annoying. I'm not talking to you specifically, but it happens with a lot of people here, myself probably included. But he was on the DL for a month. We were cruising. 91 PC. One batter that's it. We have a pen that should lock it down. I definitely wouldn't of crucified RV for bring the pen in considering the circumstances with Sale.
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 11:55 PM) Yes. You don't get points for being smarter than Ventura in your head. Everyone here are the greatest hindsight managers in baseball. Any great choice is exactly what they should have done. And bad choice is something they would have never done. It's just tiresome to see. Look it's not about being smarter than RV. But it's common sense given his pitch count and recent DL stint. He should've gotten one batter and that's it. Chris is too competitive, ya gota protect himself from himself.
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 11:48 PM) Sale should have absolutely started the 8th. All you people yelling and screaming about it AFTER THE FACT don't get any points from me. Were all of you saying he should be taken out after 7 innings when it actually happened? I must have missed that. But Sale should have never stuck around the face Trout, or really any batter after Alexei's error, that much should have been obvious. At this point it's fricking common sense. With his PC and DL stint he should've had one batter.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 11:47 PM) I have no problem with him going out there in the 8th. But like I said after one base runner reached he should have been pulled You have to have the pen ready. If the first one gets on take him out. RV will never be good
-
Had to turn it off. I f***ing hate RV
-
No f***ing way RV should be manager after this year
-
Tied because RV is a f***ing idiot
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 11:40 PM) Said this before and I'll say it again, Sale never should've started this inning I was thinking that. Just didn't wana crush RV but this is on him
