This is the kind of loss that teams are just going to have. Just like the Weaver loss there are times when you think the Sox have the advantage on paper but the opposing pitcher either has the Sox number, the Sox aren't scoring, or the Sox starter wont pitch well enough to win. This game was a bit of all three, oh well.
The Sox have still gone 9-3 against an absolutely brutal run of very good opponents.
--But dont call Rodon "unlucky." That's a load of crap, he lost control of his pitches for long stretches and that hanger he left up to Ortiz that got crushed was anything but unlucky. If Rodon wants to start games in the postseason he has to improve, the Sox gave him an early lead and he just could not make the pitches he needed to make to preserve it.
