Don't forget the "o"

ugh don't remind me... Kevin White has done nothing for the Bears as a #7 overall pick. He's a bust until further notice, and we don't know how much the Bears knew or didn't know about his shin because they are such an untrustworthy organization. He can still turn it around, he's about the same age Floyd is, but we all can sense where that one is headed. As for Floyd, he's a rail thin player that won't be able to stand up to NFL OL unless he gets on those sweet, sweet NFL roids for a year. At which point he'll be 25 and have only 2 or 3 years left at his physical peak. Not that I think it will matter, the guy couldn't produce in college despite being older than most of his competition. Oh wait nvn that's the coaches fault my bad.

So they try to move up to grab one of the best players in the draft but can't do it. Then, as can only happen in the NFL, the overall best player in the draft falls like a rock. The Bears size on that opportunity to draft......Grandpa Leonard, the guy about whom every conversation starts with a list of excuses as to why he's so old they had to carbon date him and he didn't do anything at Georgia. Pace seems pretty good at drafting in later rounds, but I get the feeling he has no idea how to draft in the 1st. Two very bad picks in a row.

A guy who only had 4.5 sacks as a 23 year old in NCAA? And the Bears trade UP to get him?

John Danks should never start for the White Sox again

He should be gone by now. -

Get this loser away from this team now. -

Not that anyone was expecting Hector Sanchez to be an offensive force... -

I think the rest of baseball feels the same. I think the Sox have developed a reputation as a team that be ran on easily, and opponents will have to learn the hard way that isn't true anymore. -

Jones bats like .080 against Danks... which is inexplicable. -

I'm willing to lose this game if it vanquishes Danks from this roster forever. And he gets Trumbo right as I say -

My worst fear is that they lose 1-0 and Danks goes the distance in a loss. Complaining about offense means I have to complain about players I like. -

As much as I believe in the venerable OP of these threads... bad weather + John Danks + in Baltimore leaves me a little doubtful about a win today. -
Wholeheartedly agree. I wanted Billy Hamilton in the offseason (though he probably would not be a bench guy)

I think Myles Jack falls and the Bears scoop him up.

Spiegel: White Sox Hot Start Not A Fluke

Go listen to 10 minutes of baseball talk on Chicago's airwaves, there is literally nothing they wont say to pat the Cubs on the back. -

$20 says he initially wrote this about the Cubs like everyone else at his dying station, but rewrote parts of it and shuffled some names around to make it about the Sox. Since Ricketts bought that station the Sox have ceased to exist. And you know what? Not a bad idea for Speigs. CBS radio is about to hold a fire sale for all its properties in the Chicagoland market and WLS might be a more stable place to land than WSCR going forward. WSCR's afternoon show has been aggressively alienating listeners on both sides of town for the past 5 years, and if the CBS mothership pulls out of town I dont see it lasting much longer than The Game did. -
Dont forget his yoga! Look, the guy was on his absolute last gasps of major league chances and, with nothing to lose, started using. Made him a pretty damn good pitcher! Can hardly blame him really, he got $10m in his arb settlement this year.

The Padres didnt seem to be tanking when they signed all those players in the 14-15 offseason.....but then we all saw what they wanted to do all along by getting those players.
-
Its impossible to take NL results seriously. That goes the Cubs, Nationals, Dodgers, Giants (though they get the benefit of the doubt because three rings), Cardinals, Pirates.... you really dont know how good these teams are because 1/2 of their games are against minor league teams.

If Chicago White Sox (the poster) wins us this game I'll bow before him. Danks vs Orioles is one man against the world. -
Donaldson did pretty well against Quintana though
-
Hockey is over. And be careful what you wish for because the Cubs/Sox rivalry has a tendency to get pretty nasty when both teams are good.

If Toronto really falls apart (I still think they win the East) I would do everything in my power to trade for Joey Bats.
