Yesterday Abreu barely taps Holaday with his bat and they call intereference... when that was much closer to the spirit of the rule.

The bad defense in the first is going to wear heavily on Latos' pitch count. He'll be very lucky to go 6.

Latos is going to learn the hard way about allowing too many fly balls on hot days at US Cellular. Not that I'm too worried, his stuff looks good, but today may go down as learning experience.

They're gonna keep Erik Johnson around today in case Latos gets murdered (Texas was scoring like 7 runs a game until they came to Chicago) and call up Gonzalez the instant the game ends. I'd almost guarantee it. The question I have is whether this is a spot start for Gonzalez to alleviate the wear and tear from 19 straight game, or the first step in the The End of John Danks. Maybe both.
