  1. I've been hard on Frazier, but I gotta give him credit. That was wily.
  2. Sale can go 110+ if he's feeling it, he'll go 8 full if he's cruising.
  3. The Cubs are in STL, so unless the south side goes all the way down to Effingham now the Sox are probably fine.
  4. If Sale gives them 8 innings and Robertson closes the door the bullpen should be pretty rejuvenated after Rodon's catastrophe.
  5. I've never seen the video either and I've looked pretty hard for it.
  6. If you want to not score any runs you better have pitching and defense. Sox checking those boxes today.
  7. I thought nobody was warm? Eh whatever... nice game Latos now bring in the tub of lard.
  8. 8.2 innings yesterday. I see Robin's point, Latos gotta hold em.
  9. I should add that I have no problem with Jones getting the game also.
  10. Definitely. 2 runs is about what you can expect from them, anything more is gravy.
  11. 1 more good inning from Latos then ride Albers/Robertson home. Up 2-0 going into the 7th is a must-win game for a team built like the Sox are. They need to be damn near unbeaten in these types of games if they want to get into the postseason.
  12. If Jerry is willing to spend a little money ARod can be had basically for free. I actually have come full circle on ARod and appreciate his dickishness. KENNY ALWAYS GETS HIS MAN
  13. I liked Avi a lot. Thought he had what it took after he came back so far ahead of schedule from his shoulder injury. This is the end though... he just cant do it.
  14. Would much rather have Trayce Thompson alone than this bum. Not to mention Micah Johnson and Frank Montas who may have stayed healthy if he was still with the Sox.
  15. Nobody knows how good Rodon is, or can be. He could feasibly be better than Sale. I doubt that he will be but there's no reason to expect him to fall back to his "real self" like there is with Latos. Rodon's real self could be a first ballot HoFer, we just don't know yet.
  16. This team got up to 8-2 on the backs of a 2.00 team ERA. We have seen the past 2 games what happens if the pitching or defense even slips a little bit. The bats aren't getting better. I went through this last year, "but the BABIP's are so bad! B-bad luck! They'll figure it out eventually!".. I'm not buying it for one second. Frazier is on track to have a year worse than any Dunn had. If the Sox want to compete this year there are two things they need to do: Trade for Sonny Gray and get rid of the automatic Danks loss. Trade for a top defensive CF and move Jackson to LF and Melky to DH. The reason everyone is down on this team despite the record is we are all watching the same crap, the kind of pitching the Sox have been riding to this record cant be sustained with their current players.
  17. They may be 8-4, but this team is going down the tubes. Nobody can hit.
  18. Didn't the Rays already lose their challenge?
  19. Damnit Buckner. Unless Lawrie cranks another one this game is over. Sox aren't putting together a 9th inning rally with Frazier leading off.
