  1. Avila at least redeemed himself by taking the free out. I see no point in Sands getting another trip the plate, especially if its against Hughes again.
  2. Let's not give Sands another AB. Game is too close for this "eveyone gets a shot" s***.
  3. Part of the reason the pitching has looked so good is the OF defense is the best it's been in like a decade.
  4. With proper ball-strike calls he'd have about 10 less pitches thrown.
  5. How are you supposed to pitch when you put one right down the pipe and the ump gives a batter a base?
  6. Sounds like Adam LaRoche is getting out in front of a story that could develop in the future. -"I was only in Bangkok to help those sex workers" -"I brought my friend because he believes in the cause too....right, Blaine? You 'believe in the cause' he he" -"Those videos were for compiling evidence!" -"She said she was 18!"
  7. I have a feeling Kennedy will be very good for them this year. Medlen and Young OTOH... yikes.
  8. All of the teams in the White Sox org are terrible.
  9. You'll have a hard time convincing me the Reds didn't lose that game on purpose after Finnegan's no hit bid ended.
  10. Sole possession of first place! It's Medlen vs Fiers in Houston tomorrow... so who knows if we move back into a tie or what.
  11. The players will be getting the memo soon. Have you seen the Reds rotation?
  12. Melky was having a great day defensively battling the sun.
  13. Wade Davis does not have Alber's athleticism, as displayed by the double play turned today.
  14. The Angels really aren't that good anymore (watch us get swept), but the Rays are the first real opponent the Sox will have this year.
  15. Good start by Q Good work for Frazier, Lawrie, Abreu, Melky and Austin Jackson. Bullpen did BIG THINGS 3 over .500 and dont look back.
  16. I had no faith in them winning today and they wound up making it look easy. Nice win.
  17. That's because he is the rare pitcher these days who truly seems to have a rubber arm. I like Quintana, I think he's a very good pitcher, I think he can be the #2 on playoff team. He does hold himself back sometimes, especially with the nibbling. But the nibbling is part of his essence so I forgive it.
  18. Archer vs Sale will be a lot of fun.
  19. He definitely has "bad luck", more so than most pitchers, but its usually in the form of garbage defense. There are many games where the Sox have given Quintana a lead and Quintana hasn't held it. Maybe its been only a 1 or 2 run lead, but a top 20 pitcher holds that lead more often than not IMO.
