  1. I agree, with a bunch of youngsters with a rebuild going on we needed a veteran manager not a rookie manager. The thing is any good veteran manager probably doesn’t want anything to do with this dysfunctional organization.
  2. Luis swinging at a pitch almost a foot outside.
  3. When he hit it and we heard it, I thought it was flyin to the Ryan.
  4. Teel has to calm down, too much nervous energy.
  5. If they would consider a massive rebuild at 35th and Shields they would be better off with a modern version of old Comiskey on the site of the old one making sure it faced the same way with views of the skyline over the left field wall, that means no upper deck in left field much like Progressive Field but I wouldn’t erect a massive scoreboard in LF like Progressive has. Thinking about it, no upper deck in RF either, they could use PNC or Comerica as models but making it look more like old Comiskey. Both of those parks have huge scoreboards in left field, at a new Comiskey the board would be in right field.
  6. Why would the Bears have such big say-so having 8 home games a year with a few of them being in damn cold weather. If it would be an entertainment center like the Braves have you probably would do most of your business in the summer so why the Bears don’t want the Sox is a mystery to me. The Bears left Wrigley Field almost 50 years ago and for decades were bosom buddies with the Cubs, I wonder if it were the Cubs that were going to be their partners at Arlington it would be a different story with the Northsiders being welcomed with open arms. As far as Rosemont, it would OK with it being easier to get to but fans would have put up with aircraft noise. My son and I attended the first event ever held at the Rosemont Horizon, IIRC it was 1981 and was for an indoor soccer game, that place is right smack dab in the middle in one of the runway approaches and we thought the planes were landing on the roof, that is why the arena has seating that is just about the opposite of the upper deck at the Rate, very shallow with not the greatest sightlines. I’m sorry but I’m not sure what the name is now, I think it’s the Allstate Arena but I haven’t been back to Chicago since 2015.
  7. That would my wish too but it will never happen. This jerk has gone bat s%*# crazy in his old age and has no business owning a baseball club in a Major market, it’s a crime what he has done to the franchise.
  8. They need to bring Baldwin back up, put him at one spot, play him everyday for at least a month and see what we have but what they did with him over the weekend with 3 ABs was a complete joke.
  9. Don’t hold your breath. Why do I say this, if JR is still running the show he will never spend the money for the last few pieces to make it a successful rebuild. If Ishbia is running things there might be hope but what do we really know about him.
  10. He definitely has some learning to do.
  11. Sosa isn’t too good at second either, the Mets were interested in him a couple of weeks ago, let them have him.
  12. Start playing guys where their future is instead of musical chairs.
  13. He’s better at first base.
  14. 21 Ks In 49 ABs for Slater.
  15. I’m still not sure about Venable.
  16. Amen to that, does anybody have a clue?
  17. Called up last Friday and had 3 ABs, someone doesn’t like this guy.
  18. Everything I saw on TV showed the ballpark not close to being sold out, some seated on the field so maybe close to 30,000. I’m sure if the Pope ever held a mass at the Rate, people would be hanging from the rafters but then again when John Paul ll visited Chicago in October of 1979 a mass was held in Grant Park with over a million in attendance.
  19. Elko and now Noda aren’t the answer, just put Vargas at 1B for good,
  20. I’m hoping Montgomery will be ready soon, you could start him at SS with Vargas at 1B, Meidroth at 2B and Sosa at 3B or Montgomery at 3B with Meidroth at SS and Sosa at 2B. I’m not wild about Sosa at 2B, he screwed up a few plays at 2B before he was injured, it looked like for some reason a lack of concentration.
  21. They need to give him a full time shot for a week or so, it’s hard coming off the bench late in the game to pinch hit especially a youngster.
  22. You’re right but their still my team.
