Pretty depressing but unfortunately pretty true, if things don’t get better pretty damn quick then we might be seeing the White Sox in another city when the lease expires on GRF.

Not a whole lot to get excited about.

Hard to believe it’s been 60 years since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, something that most who were alive will never forget. I was a Senior at Sullivan High School near Loyola University in Rogers Park and just returned to classes after 7th period lunch, we were told that the President was dead and classes were dismissed and everyone headed home and were glued to the TV for the next 3 days.

Nothing to get excited about and realizing that he’s only here until Montgomery is ready, since we aren’t going anywhere for awhile I hope they don’t rush Monty.

So good that Vaughn is giving back to the community. I like Andrew and hope he isn’t traded, improves parts of his game and becomes the leader that the White Sox desperately need.

He hasn’t come close to 40 but the potential is there, he needs a higher launch angle plus like the rest of the team he has to be more selective and work counts. Let’s hope the new hitting coach knows what guys like Eloy, Robert and Vaughn need to work on, that’s if we keep them and don’t blow up the whole team.

4 Gold Gloves to be exact.

So Robert is a potential .900 OPS, do you trade him maybe for a couple of .800 guys and a .700 guy thrown in, I say yes because there is no immediate help in our farm system. It all depends also on what the Sox want to accomplish in 2024, last I heard is JR wants a competitive team so trading Robert makes sense as long as we pick up those .800 OPS guys.

To tell the truth I wouldn’t mind him in CF with the Sox, we move Robert to RF and maybe help his career as he will have less ground to cover.

Little off topic but I’ve always been a Kevin Kiermaier fan, anyone in on him as our 4th outfielder. He’s athletic and is probably the best Centerfielder I’ve seen in my lifetime, he can steal bases and always gives 110%, he is injury prone but he had some problems corrected with surgery after the 2022 season, just my opinion but I think he would be a good guy to have around, certainly better than some of the stiffs we’ve had in the outfield in recent years.

Oy.

If just one of the 5 works out it’s a good trade, if 2 work out it’s a steal.

It’s almost bizarre how screwed up this organization is right now, almost like they’re screwing it up on purpose.

With all these coaching changes, poor Luis Robert is going to have a hard time figuring out who is who.

Hopefully an all around bad year, the guy did win a Gold Glove in 2021. We better hope it was an off year as he has 4 more years left with us.

IMHO I think Benintendi comes back and has a pretty good year, he was hampered by a bad wrist this past season and speaking from experience wrist injuries take forever to heal. As far as Moncada, somehow someway they have to get rid of him, the guy can’t be counted on and just seems like he doesn’t care, it was more than TA that was a cancer on the team and Moncada is a suspect in my book.

Here’s the thing, JR is 10 years older than me and he said he’s not in on another rebuild but we all know he won’t spend the really big bucks on free agents so just what is his solution to this mess.

If 2024 doesn’t matter then then we will see the worst Sox team in their pathetic history, maybe as bad as the 1962 expansion NY Mets. I don’t think most Sox fans are all in on another rebuild and will probably say enough is enough with this franchise, at 78 years old I’m hanging with them but have lived in Florida for 30 years and it would be no big deal for me to switch my allegiance to the Rays as I watch just about all their games now, if I still lived in Chicago, I don’t know what I would do.

Right now our starting staff has to be the worst I’ve seen since I became a Sox fan in 1952, I don’t see how we can trade Cease at this time unless there are plans to sign some decent free agent pitchers. I also wouldn’t be unhappy if they brought back Giolitio, he wasn’t that bad with the Sox in 2023 with a .500 record and a 3.74 ERA. He stunk the rest of the year after we traded him, depending on what he wants and for how long I think he ‘s worth a shot.

Yep, that was bad especially as we probably would have won the division for 2 years in a row. It’s amazing that there are any White Sox fans left at all as JR has crapped all over us for 42 years.

If ever there was a complete housecleaning job needed, this is it. You could see it on the players faces last season, they hated being a member of the White Sox while probably hating each other and the GM hates them too. I’d love to really know exactly how things deteriorated to this level. I would bet that every player is praying that they get traded and I’m joining in on the prayers, I can’t think of one guy that it would bother me if he was traded.

I agree, I was going to mention that but it was a little earlier than the All Star break but then again I guess it left a bad taste about TLR among the players, it sure didn’t help and then Yermin was sent down to the minors later on.

Exactly unless JR is planning on spending a fortune on free agents which ain’t going to happen.

All Good points and makes sense but I’m going to add that maybe these clowns weren’t wild about the firing of Renteria and being replaced by a guy who was past his prime and was just about brain dead in LaRussa. Not that it matters but I was incensed when JR hired TLR, JR has made tons of bad decisions in his 42 years as owner but the hiring LaRuusa is right up there as maybe the worst.

Something happened with the TLR hiring, I’m not sure what but things were never the same after the All Star break in 2021, after a really good first half they played .500 ball the rest of the way and then lost badly in the playoffs to Houston and played .500 again in 2022 and of course it really crashed and burned this year.
