  2. all hail shingo my pick for rookie of the year
  3. nobody on our staff is a true Number One starter. that's one of the problems.
  4. didn't play friday night. Think he missed another game this week, too. Wondering if something is wrong. any info?
  5. hard to get hot without any dependable starting pitching. I'm not freaking about losing to the Cubs. Cubs are good. I am freaking about the way Montreal had BP against us and we struggled to split a series against Cleveland. we're not done, but we're in trouble.
  6. release Jackson promote Majewski, Bajenaru or Nardi Contreras. Hey, Mike, you had a nice run, but IT'S OVER
  7. Mike Jackson? Isn't Paniagua available? Or Rick White?
  8. Joe can't hit the good fastball and Hawk knows that
  9. the season started going south when -- what else?? -- two guys (Maggs and Harris) collided on a ball. today we've seen Gload and Uribe miscommunicate and then Valentin and Uribe just about did the same thing.
  10. who is there to dump? Konerko? Valentin? No pitchers anybody would want. Maggs? Injured and in his walk year.
  11. note to White Sox: When there is a pop up, it is always easier to catch the ball whe somebody calls it just a thought
  12. has darensburg pitched yet? he figures to get some innings today and tomorrow
  13. THEY: Have a 23-year-old pitching phenom named Mark Prior WE: Have a 24-year-old pitching phenom named Neal Cotts
  14. THEY: Are going to get better as Wood returns and Prior gets stronger. WE: Need about five new arms in the bullpen and rotation
  15. WE: Are going to wish we never made that commercial. THEY: Are going to rub it in our faces six times
  16. Gload is alright to pinch hit and play one day a week. As a right fielder, he's a good pinch hitter. this ain't good
  17. long, long, long weekend coming Saturday will be gruesome Sunday our only hope
  18. bench gload. put Harold BAines in right field.
  19. we're looking at two really long weekends.
  20. it's definitely true. Just talked about it on the radio, too. got to look bright side: If he delivers, it's a massive lift for the club, right?
  21. Time to use this series to buld big-time momentum leading into the all-star break. Time for Garland to step wayyyyyy up. Drive up Baby Jesus' pitch count and get into their pen.
  22. any insights on what they did? report to the park tipsy?
  23. far as I could tell, Rauch did better than the Numbers 1, 2 and 4 starters did against a team that can hit the ball. give rauch a chance. He can do the job.
  24. we need Rauch to deliver. big time
  25. the starting staff needs to regroup -- and quickly 8 against the Expos. 17 against the Expos. coughing up an 8-0 lead. it's a bit alarming because this ain't the Yankees and Red Sox we're playing.
