  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 13, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) The pitching is probably overachieving. But they're scary to me in the fact that Choo and Santana have been awful and they're still winning. Just a matter of time before those two get going. You sure it's gonna be both? At least Choo has a track record, Santana's hasn't done much at the big league level. No guarantee he'll become the superstar people seem to think he'll become.
  2. Santos' change up was straight FILTHY. If he can find that release point consistently he's gonna be damn good.
  3. Balfour is a gigantic douche. And that was a horrible called third strike on Dunn.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2011 -> 08:56 PM) I found it enjoyable that Wimpy pointed out Beckham's bad mechanics more than Hawk or Stoney has all season. Wimpy's fantastic! I'm with you on the pessimism this year but I laughed that you didn't show up until s*** started going wrong...
  5. The Indians are doing this with smoke & mirrors and a s*** ton of good look. But, that doesnt mean they can't keep it up all season. That kind of luck can happen all season and get you to October. They're 15-4 at home. Only 9-9 on the road. The White Sox have more road wins then Cleveland. You'd like to HOPE that kind of disparity catches up to them. Also, side note, so much for Liriano's No-No sparking the Twins comeback this season. Currently lost 6 in a row.
  6. Well, I brought it up earlier, but by my count only 2 balls the Sox have hit would have been in the stands. Both that inning. AJ and Omar popped out to third.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 13, 2011 -> 06:34 PM) The Indians just came back from 2 runs down in the bottom of the 9th to walk-off the Mariners, 5-4. Travis Hafner has somehow been resuscitated from the dead. Rumors abound the Indians are interested in either Beltran or Reyes to solidify a playoff push. Brandon League gave up a two-run jack to Travis Hafner with 2 outs. Guess we ruined him...guy started out 7/7 in save opportunities and now he's messed up 3-4 games in a row for SEA. Extra special* PRONK Candy Bars. *The special ingredient is HGH
  8. Humber can't let them back in the game in any way this inning. Not even one run.
  9. With the amount of super specific, borderline ridiculous stats there are in the world I wonder if they have one for these Oakland pitchers at home on balls that are caught in foul territory on the baselines that ANYWHERE else in the league are in the stands for a foul. Some sort of formula for that. Cause that's gotta be one of the reasons the Oakland pitchers have the great numbers.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2011 -> 06:07 AM) Six days and already the Royals have to worry about losing a player to free agency... That has to be a record. Aaaaaaand the Yankees just signed him to a $400 million contract. Time flies.
  11. Wow, Hafner only has 14 RBI's? The way he's been hitting/taking HGH I would have expected way more
  12. Lot of Sox batters seem to be having issues with the strike zone....
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2011 -> 08:04 PM) Did it look to anyone else like Seattle has better pizza than the cell? I can't speak for the Pizza's, but the Garlic Fries at Safeco are RIDICULOUS. Also, they have Fat Tire on tap. Big bucket of win....
  14. They're not gonna lose 95+ games. They're gonna finish 82-80, 83-79 like always Never bad enough to get the #1 pick, never good enough to win the series (sans 05) always in the middle of the pack draft wise where they can never get that impact player, or they swing and miss and the impact player goes 4 picks after the Sox. Side note, if the Sox did ever get the #1 pick is there a doubt in anyone's mind they'd JaMarcus Russell it anyway?

    5/5 Games

    The Tank's itching for a call-up
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 5, 2011 -> 09:17 AM) Bobby Jenks to the DL with a 9.35 ERA, 2.54 WHIP. I love how the Red Sox will just put guys who stink on the DL. They did it last year with Dice-K. Can the white sox put Beckham and Morel on the DL? Maybe a 60-day DL for Gordon so he can just come back during the second half and hit since that seems to be the only way he can...
  17. The Sox stink at drafting so I don't get the complaints about trading away prospects all that much.... besides Gio no many former Sox prospects are amounting to any major success in the bigs (Jury's still out on Hudson as of right now)
  18. Can't really say it's this season, since there is every chance in the world they finish 82-80, right in the middle of the pack like it's been for the last decade plus. But here's the mind twister....if this season does go fully into the tank, if this season gets rids of Ozzie and his staff and KW and brings in various other players/staff that we eventually like is it disappointing? or just necessary?
  19. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 3, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) Have the Sox done less with a championship season than any other baseball team in recent memory? 1997 Marlins, 2003 Marlins, 2002 Angels (I mean they made the playoffs a lot after but bottom out every time, and I'm sure their fanbase is pretty pissed about it ) Took the Yankees almost 10 years to finally buy another championship, I'm sure that was frustrating for all the spoiled-ass Yankee fans....
  20. 2011 White Sox Management: DO ANYTHING! Cut someone, Fire someone, Call Up this guy, Send down that guy, trade, release, designate for assignment anyone. Show us you give a s***. Keeping The Status Quo right now would be beyond insulting.
  21. If Liriano had like pinpoint command. Struck out 12 or 13 guys with sick stuff, I wouldn't have been as pissed. He had NOTHING tonight and the Sox just helped him out all game long. If nothing happens tonight or Thursday it's a slap to all of our faces.
  22. NOW is the time for the vote of confidence for Walker.... I can hear the keys being typed on the press release as we speak
  23. Pierre comes to the plate to Green Day's "Know Your Enemy".... awesome
  24. Trayce is awesome. Maybe he can finally be that impact minor league bat... there's no way Walker or Ozzie will still be there by the time he gets to the bigs right? haha
