24 wont even air the episodes they have filmed until the strike is resolved so the season can run non-stop. I dont really care all that much seeing as the show f***ing sucked last season, and I wont be watching this season, but still. This strike needs to end. Pay up producers!!

I felt bad crossing the picket lines today, but I gotta work... Luckily there wasnt that many people at the gate where I enter the studio. I drive by Warner Bros. everyday on my way to work and there was A LOT more there than at Universal. (The studios are basically across the street from one another, and split by the LA River)

Im diggin the new Angels & Airwaves effort "I-Empire". Even though Tom has just a MASSIVE ego about his own music, and for some reason, despite being born and raised in SoCal he has a Boston accent when he sings, I still enjoy this album. Sound wise, if you're looking for progression, it's just like We Dont Need to Whisper, though he stated that it was the 2nd half of that album, so it would make sense that it would sound the same. Oddly enough the single is the only thing that kind of sounds out of place with the rest of the album.

\m/ Fun Size \m/ I seriously hope she is in EVERY episode this year.

QUOTE(Shadows @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) I DLed it, but no one seemed interested when I mentioned it earlier.. Scream is awesome Yeah. Overall though, pretty blah. I dont have the desire to keep spinning it like I did with City of Evil and Waking the Fallen. It's hard to explain exactly what I mean, but the sound they have on this record is exactly what I thought they were gonna do. Like keep the "metal" part to match the way they started dressing after they released City of Evil, but take out the super poppy parts/chorus' to keep street cred after they got radio play. Maybe it'll grow on me, but I dont think so....

12 hours after it comes out and Im still the only one who's reviewed the new A7X album? Haha Yes, I may have "obtained" it early, but you're slipping. You know who you are

QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 25, 2007 -> 05:43 PM) 'Gravemakers & Gunslingers' is my favorite track Have you heard "Second Stage Turbine Blade"? Just asking because I like it far more than IKSoSE Yea I like second stage... 33, Junesong Provision and Everything Evil are the stand out tracks for me. I rank the albums basically in order of how they came out just switching In keeping Secrets to the top...

This weekend I'm finally gonna get a chance to see Glassjaw \m/ Unless of course the show gets cancelled, like so many of them have been in the past. Glassjaw is one of those bands I got into kind of late and was afraid I was never gonna get a chance to see them cause theyhad been on "hiatus" for such a long period of time...

Song of the moment for me: "Feathers" Coheed and Cambria The rest of the new album is okay, nothing too crazy-good. I dont think they're gonna be able to top "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth"

This is what the sky looks like from my office in Burbank:
-
"16 'No's', Really? 16 Robin?"
-
"I'm your bro, I'm Broda." hahah Earlier in the thread, I said How I Met Your Mother was the 2nd best comedy on TV next to The Office, but honestly this season it's been WAY better than the Office. I'm moving it up to Number 1 for right now.

QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 22, 2007 -> 03:07 PM) Why didn't they call it "The Jerry O'Connell Show"? I hate to break the news to you, but it's probably gone by November. We're actually doing pretty good ratings wise. ABC ordered 13 episodes as it's original order, and we're close to getting a full season order. But there's a chance that the writers will go on strike on Oct. 31st, which will basically shut down production on EVERYTHING in hollywood. Every TV show will only have about half the season filmed. SO that would blow for employment and entertainment purposes.

Upon first listen of the new Avenged Sevenfold, it's pretty good. It's not blowing me away but it's pretty solid. Best songs: "Critical Acclaim" "Afterlife" The solo at the end = \m/ "Lost" "Dear God" There's one song on the album, I cant decide if I love it or hate it haha. It's very theatrical, and kinda weird. It's not as good as City of Evil or Waking the Fallen (which is their masterpiece, so how can you top that?)

Keep watching Carpoolers, cause Im working on the show, so you're keeping me employed if you do haha

QUOTE(Shadows @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 04:31 PM) If you guys get a chance can you check out this link and watch the video, its Avenged Sevenfolds new song Almost Easy.. They said that if it gets to 150,000 views within 24 hours they'll release a never before seen live version of the song and ide really like to see that.. I don't even think you have to watch the video if you dont want to, I just want to get the view added to it Its on youtube, so its no weird tricky link... here it is "Almost Easy" by Avenged Sevenfold Im an A7X fan, but I gotta say that song aint nothing special, kinda "whatever". It's lacking that super catchy A7X chorus that they do so well... On the other hand I cant wait for some new Dillinger Escape Plan (Ironic as they DO NOT LIKE the fella's in Avenged Sevenfold haha)
-
I'm digging the new Jimmy Eat World "Chase This Light". It's not nearly as dark as "Futures", which I loved. This is way "poppier" and I'm really enjoying it. Nobody does melodic "Ohh" refrains like JEW haha
-
VERY average. I think it was the hour long thing that killed it, unfortunately, NBC ordered like 5 hour long episodes this season...
-
I dug Chuck and Dirty Sexy Money, missed Reaper on Tuesday, but ill TiVo the replay tonight. Not really interested in many of the other new shows... Heroes was great, but not a fan of Peter Petrelli's amnesia, that f***ing LAME. How I Met your Mother is really hitting it's stride in season three. The premeire was Lege.... wait for it.....dary. 2nd best comedy on TV (The Office being number 1) Can't wait for 30 Rock, Scrubs and of course LOST

A whole assload of great shows (to me) coming up in October and November Misery Signals Every Time I Die/Poison the Well dredg Machine Head Thrice/mewithoutYou Coheed and Cambria Silverchair (Can't f***ing WAIT for this) All That Remains Whew that's a lot haha The first 3 listed are on 3 consecutive nights, I dont know If I can pull that off...

I think Stone has such a smooth baseball announcer voice. It's just perfect. Same thing with Vin Scully, and to a lesser extent Joe Buck. He might not be the best announcer in the world, but he's got a great voice.

f***ing Orange County...

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 07:36 PM) When did that hit the theaters ? Yeah it's not out till the 17th, but I got the hook-ups to a cast and crew screening...

Saw Superbad the other day. Freakin hilarious stuff. If you're a fan of Knocked Up, 40 year old Virgin etc., you'll like it. Seth Rogen and Bill Hader (Criminally under used on SNL) as the 2 cops almost steal the show. I might go see it again, just to see them rock the s***.
