I'm excited that Ravelo is hitting .400 but it just seems like he's a single's machine with no power. I get that he's 20, but, 7 XBH and 19 singles? I don't know how that projects...
  2. Good pitchers can pitch over mistakes... What are you Gavin?
  3. Soft tossing lefty with a good change working.... Gavin needs his A++ game and hope the Sox can pull off a 2-1, 3-2 kinda win...
  4. Hell Yes. That might have been the first time since I was a kid that I fell asleep before a Sox game ended (on central time for the first time since 1995) but was glad to wake up to a complete game shut-out from Peavy. I don't even care if he's contract year pitching, it'll do... Gavin needs to f***ing MAN UP and pitch his ass off. Or, just hope that the Sox can slug it out if he s***s the bed...
  5. Peavy needs to pitch his ass off... Colon always kills the Sox
  6. For as much as the Sox offense is derided and the Tigers praised, Detroit has only scored 3 more runs than the Sox...
  7. 10 losses in a row for KC... Maybe next year they will be awesome... or next year... or next year... or next year... or next year... or next year... or next year... or next year... or next year... or next year...
  8. Morel followed by Beckham is just BAD. That was a good inning potentially ruined by these two black holes in the line-up. Christ they look LOST... Gordon's swing on that pitch was so defensive and awful
  9. Pitching and Defense can't make ANY mistakes, because this offense can not make up for anything. Just atrocious. 0-2 on chances to sweep a series? Please no... Also, these days I have more confidence in Sale Peavy and Humber than Danks and Floyd. The top of the rotation just being nothing but mediocre so far.
  10. I'm tempted to let a non-sweep slide, because of the Perfect Game, but... need to keep the foot on the throat. Killer instinct let's go....
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) Stone actually said he heard Rizzo sound like he was starting to waiver on that limit... I just heard Rizzo last week on MLBNetwork on XM saying he was going to shut him down at 160 no matter what haha. We shall see...
  12. So It's early yes, but the National's are looking good. Here's the thing, seems like Rizzo is pretty adamant about 160 IP for Strasburg and that's it. Shutting him down. If they're in it in September would they really risk shutting their ace down and causing them to miss the playoffs? Or get into the playoffs and not have him starting Game 1? I understand saving his arm for the future and his health, but I'd be pissed if I were a fan and he wasn't starting and the Nats were in the hunt...
  13. It's not about how good/bad the Red Sox are, it's how popular they are. And that popularity will NEVER go away.... not in our lifetimes. And they're always gonna be relevant cause they can always spend spend spend...
  14. When he didn't swing and miss in ST the ball really jumped off Mitchell's bat. I can remember some solid hits right back up the middle from him on consecutive AB's. It's good that he already has that idea and is not getting pull happy...
  15. I also want a catcher who can throw guys out. AJ has actually been pretty good this season so far, but that has been one of his biggest knocks. While AJ might have better numbers in regards to blocking the ball, but man it seems like the dropped third strike has cost them so many games.
  16. No thanks. I want a defense first catcher now. Sick of all these pass balls and wild pitches going by AJ that a better catcher would have stopped. So many strike out's where the batter reaches these last few seasons

So does Sanchez play any D?
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 06:21 PM) Who thinks Gavin is great? Or that he could be great? I'm not saying like Verlnader numbers, but when people were talking about the Sox rotation they only mentioned issues with Peavy Sale and Humber. Seemingly ignoring the issues Gavin has with consistency (and for that matter Danks) Both Guys headlining the rotation CAN be good, but they can't seem to put together more than a handful of great starts in a season and wind up with very average numbers...
  19. So we can just all agree Gavin is never gonna be consistent enough to be a great pitcher. His 2008 was obviously an aberration..
  20. Fix the Search Function, Jason! You jerk! (oh wait is that too specific to one person?)
  21. This "It's only been 10 games" thing is bulls***. The reason the Sox crapped out the last two years is because they f***ed off in April and spent the rest of the season digging themselves out of a hole. Maybe it was an Ozzie thing maybe not, but as of right now, until they prove otherwise, winning in April is MASSIVELY important to the White Sox* *Asssuming you believe they have a chance to compete.
  22. Jake needs to keep pitching for that midseason trade.
