  1. our starting pitching has been good... but our bullpen inconsistent. So 7 innings game could be to our advantage
  2. might have missed that one.. some of that series put me to sleep.
  3. by subjective i mean its based on the analysis on what a better than average play is... ect ect. I know they try to break it down into parts but its still trying to quantify an opinion of what these plays are.... This isn't new to baseball.. i mean if an error is made, people will often disagree if it was an error or not. I'm not saying it has no value by any means.
  4. i will say that madrigal has been better than he was earlier in the year
  5. I understand it fine... Sabermetrics are interesting but some of them really try to statistically prove things that fall into the realm of opinion. runs saved isn't a meaningless stat - it's just also subjective in some way.
  6. bats left is the key thing.. we neeed left handed batters in the worst way... have literally and figuratively striking out on finding any in the last 10 years it seems like.
  7. out of 4 pitches he only glances over once... doesn't seem he was expecting any signs...
  8. it was already done somewhere in the TLR thread.. video link with time stamp. No one has said anything about this besides larussa and yermin saying very little - and some indirect comments on twitter by a few people. If there are quotes about it from other players I haven't see any. I never read about anyone saying they heard anything.
  9. a bit suprised... looks like rain is gone or about gone
  10. from radar forecasts is going to be raining until like 10pm so they going to have to start with some light rain if they want to get it in.
  11. he has gotten better lately at 2nd then earlier in the year - some of these "runs saved" stats that everyone accepts now are a bit of a head scratcher to me. the new era of subjective stats.
  12. Of course no one is going to come out and directly contradict Larussa - that would be a bad idea no matter what the truth was. Here is how it went down - no one was thinking about it... no coaches, no fans really - the game was a blowout and the count was 3-0. No one was really thinking he would swing 3-0.. but even if they were - they didnt really think much of it. But then when he hit a homerun - THEN people were like Uh oh.. lol twins going to get butt hurt about that. The sox staff didn't expect that to happen either - i believe that larussa doesn't want him swinging there... but there was no sign or anyone telling him not to - because no one was even thinking about it or caring at the moment. This was all after the fact response.
  13. i really dont think so - I've watched the video a handful of times and the entire at bat he looks at the dugout once - and its not long enough for a sign
  14. but how dare Yermin miss a sign that was never actually given!
  15. while I disagree with the renaming of this area.. more because a regular every day worker having something named after them is rare - then because care f if they named a stand after TLR I'm going to be honest - this is near the bottom of my give a fuck list.
  16. Just think for a little bit that makes no sense. you really think they were so worried about the fat position player pitching that they yelled "take" at yermin at any point? C'mon man no way lol. That is just not believable. they didnt expect yermin to swing 3-0... but no one told him anything... no one really was thinking about it or gave a shit.. but after he hit a home run then they ran into PR mode
  17. I heard tweaked his hammy - day to day.
  18. lol he keeps saying this bullshit - but Yermin doesn't look towards the dug out long enough at any point to get a sign. he only looks once the entire at bat and its like less than a second - there was no fucking sign.
  19. tony with the punt... but couldn't blame him too much on this one.
