  1. We are so deep at infield/SS in the minors I think you trade Colston while he has any value left.
  2. I see Kay mentioned here a lot... Kay is not ogod. He will give you a quality start every now and then, but overall, he is at best a 5th starter. Hovers around 5.00 Era every season.
  3. Well now I can stop watching baseball until next year. Never could give a s%*# about who wins what in baseball post season outside of the sox.
  4. He couldn't throw strikes on the corners so he had to start grooving the ball down the middle or on fat parts of the plate.
  5. Your posts are taking a dark turn. Worried about your well being.
  6. Hopefully the smoke and mirrors pitching set up we have works again tonight. It's just so difficult for us to win night in and night out.
  7. Figured Hagen would open - but they might be planning on using him later. Hopefully the walks didn't scare them away from him.
  8. It got dicey at the end... but finally Cleveland doesn't pull one out of their ass to beat us at the end. The Yankees are our worse AL match up and they look cooked.
  9. Want to shout out to Kay. He had the series in the palm of his left hand. If things go differently in his appearance this series might have turned on its head.
  10. good thing these games are in Houston... not sure we'd have gotten any games completed in chicago the next couple days.
  11. Solid job by the pitching staff and some really patient ABS. Ill enjoy the win - but it shouldn't have been as close as it was. We really are lacking getting that dagger hit for over a month now.
  12. The red sox line-up is trash.
  13. I know you are joking ... kind of. But if we win today - doesn't matter if they win out.
  14. Braden looking better lately.
  15. If you can;t b**** about a guy about to set an mlb record for strikeouts... who can you b**** about!?
  16. For such a low achieving team they sure to get a lot of soft ball questions.
  17. Easy to say without context. It would be a great accomplishment for this team to make the post-seaosn. However they don't have the pitching to be an actual contender. I don't think id take that "every year." I'd like to have a chance to actually win in the post season at some point.
  18. Need a win to get into the post season - starting a pseudo triple A pitcher. Symbolic of this teams overall issues.
  19. This is at 1 for playoffs right? Win or texas loss?
  20. So burke not starting - I get why - but stupid.
  21. Will makes some mistakes but yeah. Our starting pitching isn't near the level required to be serious contender.
  22. It's not just about length of starts ... its also about who can get people out. Kay in his career has never finished below a 4.5 ERA... that is actually his best. Kay is worse than those three... this year and historically.
  23. wouldn't lock anything up for the astros however - just us.
  24. Yeah this is what I'm seeing which makes me wonder about monday.
  25. I'm seeing possible heavy rain sat until sunday afternoon. Will there be a game on monday? Is this good or bad?
