No way they deal Gattis. They have a catching prospect they want to move up and by creating room, they are likely to deal Heyward (let's get him!) or Upton as they are both free agents after this season. Gattis would then move back to the outfield where he can play more as opposed to being the catcher.

They're a team thin on infield prospects right? Anyone think they'd take Danks and Sanchez in a deal? To be clear, not for Samardzija but in a deal potentially for someone else? Just curious because they did pay both Cespedes and Johnson about $20 mill combined last season and Danks in under control for two more years and can probably pitch well in that ballpark.

If we trade Alexei, we need to get at least one top 100 out of it. As far as replacement goes, grab Stephen Drew as a stop gap. No draft pick loss, good defensively at short and honestly I don't really trust 2 young players up the middle when they were both pretty shoddy defensively last season.

Trade Beck and Trayce Thompson. Take on all salary. Make him primary DH/4th outfielder. Sign a left/right fielder capable of playing center for when Eaton gets hurt. Eaton CF Ramirez SS Abreu 1B CarGo DH Garcia LF/RF Rasmus? RF/LF Gillaspie 3B Flowers C Second baseman

You could also trade Viciedo for possible bullpen help. Eaton CF. Ramirez SS Abreu 1B Sandoval 3B Garcia LF Heyward RF Flowers C Gillaspie DH/1B/3B maybe platoon with a right handed infielder (Saladino?) and let Pablo DH those days Whoever breaks camp at second I know none of that will happen but it would be interesting to see

If I had to make a bet, I'd bet on Castro having a better season than Flowers next season.

I'd rather see Viciedo dealt for Castro than Viciedo dealt for Dominic Brown.
