    I think he may be the primary backup, but he isn’t just going to sit on the bench. He DH’d a good amount last year. They’re mostly signing him for his bat.

    Every team cares to some extent. If they don’t care, they wouldn’t have sat out on a lot of other free agents over past few years. It’s a lazy statement to say they don’t care.
