  1. I'm sure the clubhouse does care but not enough to distract them and start losing games.
  2. I picture them telling Yermin to not worry about it and to move on and just let Tony ramble. It's kind of like a family party where Tony is the senile grandpa who is just talking about god knows what and no one is really listening.
  3. It's funny, when things are going well with this team, I kinda forget about my dislike of LaRussa to the point where I forget they even have a manager lol. But then he opens his mouth. Just keep winning baby.
  4. Lol have that poster ignored but that was worth seeing.
  5. Also, when a position player takes the mound, you're not respecting the game by throwing him. All (dumb) unwritten rules should go out the window.
  6. Tony LaRussa doesn't know all the rules of the game but knows all the unwritten ones?
  7. Exactly lol just keep playing great, let him ramble, and keep winning in spite of him.
  8. I have a feeling most don't have much respect for him. Of course if you ask them, they will say they do.
  9. I think tonight is the night I use my risk free $1k Barstool bet on the runline.
  10. Honestly, the players are probably keeping him cool and not to worry and keep being him.
  11. So you've been in an MLB dugout? You're an expert because you played college ball? Somehow that equates to MLB locker-room?
  12. So have him throw at a guy or two, get ejected, and then eat away at an overused, shitty bullpen? Nah.
  13. Right. Like I said on another page, write the lineup (the team is really talented and its hard to fuck up), let Katz handle the pitchers, and sit at the end of the bench. Maybe go out and argue for your players if there are constant bad calls.
  14. Question: if that guy is throwing 50 MPH up there, does it look worse or just as bad if Yermin doesn't swing at any pitch and just takes the easy walk on 4 lobbed pitches? That pitch certainly would have been ball 4.
  15. Agreed. Yermin can take one in the back and go to first. No punishment needed from his own team.
  16. Tony LaRussa certainly knows about not making the same mistake twice and respecting others, huh?
  17. I updated my original post that I responded to you.
  18. Same. This is a prime example of what many were saying in the off-season about having a guy like Tony in the clubhouse. The whole "generational disconnect" where today's game is breaking the unwritten rules and then the front office hires Tony. Let the players be themselves. Fuck it.
  19. Right? Why are their signs up 12 in the 9th with a position player pitching lol
  20. Tony, just write the lineup, let Katz handle the pitching, and take your seat at the end of the bench. Hell, grab a beer while you're at it.
  21. I said the same about Grandal. If he's not going to do much else with the bat other than take pitches and walk, hit him second and let him take a bunch of pitches so the rest of the team can see a lot of pitches early. Also, maybe he gets better pitches to hit.
  22. How long has Rongey been back on the Score? Heard him filling in for Bernstein yesterday and today.
