I picture them telling Yermin to not worry about it and to move on and just let Tony ramble. It's kind of like a family party where Tony is the senile grandpa who is just talking about god knows what and no one is really listening.
It's funny, when things are going well with this team, I kinda forget about my dislike of LaRussa to the point where I forget they even have a manager lol. But then he opens his mouth.
Just keep winning baby.
Right. Like I said on another page, write the lineup (the team is really talented and its hard to fuck up), let Katz handle the pitchers, and sit at the end of the bench. Maybe go out and argue for your players if there are constant bad calls.
Question: if that guy is throwing 50 MPH up there, does it look worse or just as bad if Yermin doesn't swing at any pitch and just takes the easy walk on 4 lobbed pitches? That pitch certainly would have been ball 4.
Same.
This is a prime example of what many were saying in the off-season about having a guy like Tony in the clubhouse. The whole "generational disconnect" where today's game is breaking the unwritten rules and then the front office hires Tony. Let the players be themselves. Fuck it.
I said the same about Grandal. If he's not going to do much else with the bat other than take pitches and walk, hit him second and let him take a bunch of pitches so the rest of the team can see a lot of pitches early. Also, maybe he gets better pitches to hit.
