  • The funny thing is I guarantee other team fan bases hate their bullpen and wish their GM spent money on bullpen guys like the WSox.

Just... exhausting. Hahn won't stop spending his assets on Relief pitchers. it's honestly amazing.

Signals to me Kimbrel is long gone

Solid replacement for Tepera. With him, Graveman, Bummer, and Crochet, I feel good about the middle reliever/set-up depth leading up to Hendriks

You want to keep watching Jose Ruiz?

A good bullpen is going to be key especially early in the year when starters are go8ng to be limited with the shortened spring training.

I don't mind the signing. It allows Lopez to be the swing man and make spot starts for Kopech.

Hahn: What's the most volatile and unreliable position in baseball?

Relief Pitchers

Hahn: Let's go all in on signing aging relievers. what could go wrong?

Joe Kelly is the epitome of an up and down volatile guy too.

How many relief arms are we going to nab?

For sure...just hope it doesn’t impact Colas or Cespedes :)

I hate you. ??

How many god damn opportunity costs are we going to take on in pursuit of relief pitchers?

You know what, if the team is up 8-3 instead of 5-3 in the 7th, maybe we don't need so many fucking relievers.

This isn't how organizations build good bullpens.

Jose Ruiz is younger and has been as good as Joe Kelly the past two years because bullpen arms are pretty up and down.

He bring playoff experience too I’m sure Rick will state

Kelly was pretty great last year

A two year deal too, lovely.

He always was.

Love yourself the way Hahn loves giving relief pitchers a shitload of money every offseason.

I disagree.  With Kopech moving into rotation, a bullpen of guys like Crochet, Bummer, Graveman, Kelly, and Hendriks (+CK?) has to be best in the bigs.  Knowing your starter went 5 or 6 and you can fill/dominate 9+ outs is a great feeling.

He's also due for BABIP regression imo. He has to be. Career low .227 last year with a 85 exit velocity. and now he can't doctor the ball anymore like he clearly was. this is dumb AF.

How many years in a row are Sox fans going to fall for this nonsense. Each of the last two years we had threads created about how unstoppable the White Sox bullpen was going to be. The best bullpen in baseball will not end up being who you thought it'll be. Signing RP's coming off career years is almost never a good strategy.
