  1. Please. Liam Hendricks pitched on the 7th (In the wrong spot, and that was totally on Tony.) On April 8th, Lance Lynn pitched a complete game shutout. Tony, you idiot. They didn't play on the 9th and 10th. Today is the 11th. I know Tony (or any manager) is always the boogeyman, but get the fuck out of here. Get the save, Liam. That's what they pay you the not big, but gigantic bucks for.
  2. Well said. It's just the same team over and over and over and over again.
  3. Stop it. TLR had the lead going to the 9th and his HIGHLY paid closer more than fresh. This isn't at all on Tony, today.
  4. Hendricks screaming, angry guy routine isn't nearly as fun when he's giving up gopher balls. He just looks like a douche
  5. There is a theory floating out there that Sharon Carter is the Power Broker, and I don’t hate it.
  6. It's very early in the season, but giving the bullpen two days off is nice
  7. Good thing Rick was able to hire a manager that reflects those same views....oh wait.
  8. This is where you lose me. When it comes to COVID, people should be able to do what they want with a mask. Free will. Let people make their own decision, crazy how much money we’ve spent pushing a “narrative” But when it comes to the choices we eat with food, you want the government to spend more money telling us what to eat? Not to mention all the other contributing elements to obesity (food deserts, high cost of fruit/vegetables compared to wheat/grain) There is no doubt the US has a obesity problem, and I would agree with you that we should spent more energy talking about the issue and taking steps to fix what I outlined above. But you lose me with your previous post about freedom of will. It seems like you just have a problem with the government telling us to wear masks.
  9. Feels not so today haha. Just sore and achy. Hopefully it’s just today
  10. I’m a fully-vaxxed boy. Feels good
  11. The larger issue with 2005 is the 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007 teams didn’t make the playoffs. That’s fairly telling in terms of how good of a team/foundation that was
  12. I would have been fine with Bummer in this scenario as well, I agree with you wegner. I was fine with Foster coming for Keuchle, by the way. But not letting him die and be ok coughing up the lead to an awful M’s offense.
  13. I don’t totally disagree, which is why today made me crazy. Hendricks pitched the 9th down 8-4. You knew he was going in today. You saved him for a 9th inning that didn’t need to be saved. It needed to be saved in the 6th
  14. To me, it’s like bunting in the 4th inning. How do you know you’re going to need that run to win? It might be 17-6 by the time the 9th rolls around. Play the game in front of you. That was a huge moment, I want one of my best out there...not Matt Foster. Not when you can sweep and head home.
  15. Was talking to a few buddies today over text and we were discussing the game today. I made the argument that when Foster was struggling and it was 4-2.....why are you not bringing in Hendricks. I understand it was the 6th, but here was my premise. The game needed to be saved in that moment. It was the most important moment of the game. As we’ve seen last season and even this year...the Sox have been known to score in bunches in the later innings against middle relief pitching. Who knows what the score is going to be in the 9th. And guess what? Hendricks, the Sox best pitcher, ended up pitching in the 9th, down 4 runs. If you knew he was going to pitch today (clearly Tony did), why not place your best reliever in the biggest spot? If it’s 4-3 Sox in the 9th...you deal with it then. If you trust Foster enough to pitch with the bases loaded and the game tied in the 6th, you should trust him in the 9th to start a fresh inning. I really wish the game would evolve but the “save” is a contract stat so I’m worried it won’t anytime soon..
  16. If TLR is fine putting Hendricks in down 4, no reason he can’t put him in for Foster to “save the game” in the 6th
  17. They are going be 0-3 after the 5th lol.
  18. Then what the fuck are we doing here?
  19. Fucking embarrassing. The utter lack of urgency shown today is classic Ricky. Remember that “killer instinct, step on their throats” talk in Spring Training? They all can fuck off.
  20. This is absolutely right. A lot of this is on Tony (I get it’s the opening week) but this lineup and bullpen management shows he had NO urgency to win this game. This is also on Hahn and Co. They’ve decided to put Kopech and Crochet in the pen, which takes two BIG arms out of the equation for 2-3 days at a time. This is the result.
