If your "opinion" is that fans don't have the right to "question" the manager, then I can't say I respect yours.

Except you’re acting like Tony La Russa, “Baseball God” can’t be wrong because of how long he has been in the game. No one is second guessing anything. It’s not that, so stop calling it that. It’s not second guessing when down 5-2 in the 8th inning, with runners on base, you send Billy Hamilton and Leury Garcia to the plate, “looking for a single.” Fans were SCREAMING asking what the hell Tony was doing. It was a bum call before it happened, it was a bum call after it happens. Jason and Steve, employees of the team were doing everything in their power on the broadcast not to say how bad of a move it was, DURING THE GAME. It’s all the media talked after the game. So stop it.

I don't really care what he thinks or what the reason is......whatever reason he's doing it, it's wrong.

Honestly, SHAME on the Sox reporters for not pressing this harder. Down 5-2 in the 8th inning and you're looking for a single in that situation? What are we doing here?

Here is the thing....TLR didn't lose this game for the Sox. They didn't execute. That's on them. A manager has a limited impact on the game. Tonight.........we saw the type of impact a manager can have. Decisions like having Hamilton bat with runners on in a 5-2 game. Not knowing when your ace needs to be lifted......that's unacceptable when quite frankly a baseball manager isn't responsible for much.

We really should make members take some sort of novice baseball exam before signing up....yikes.

Stone and Jason are doing everything they can to say Tony is having an awful night without actually saying it- Tigers @ Sox
Down 5-2 in the 8th, letting Hamilton hit over Andrew Vaughn simply defies any sort of logic. It can't be explained.- Tigers @ Sox
The White Sox have a bad manager. That’s it.- Theories as to why offense behind pitching so far?
Passan had an "interesting" idea on the radio today. He believed one way you could help the offense "catch up" to pitchers who are just maxing out on effort is to limit the roster size to 10-11 pitchers on a team. It couldn't be done overnight, or even in a year....this would have to a plan the league and teams commit to on a 5-10 year basis. But the idea is if the starter *in theory* has to go longer in a game or is being counted on to cover more innings, he may not max out on effort with his pitches, instead play a little bit more of the long game. Additionally, it could speed up the game a little bit as you wouldn't have as many pitching changes. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I also sort of understand it. I'm really not a fan of where we are at in baseball right now, when 5 IP by a starter is considered a "good start" and pitch count is the absolute king. The game has really changed even from where it was around 2004-2006.- COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
You ask: "what do they know that we don't." If you even opened the link you provided, you would see this school says the information they are providing is "new" and "has not been researched" So they are telling you they don't know anything, it's right there. But you are getting "alarmed" by it because they must know something the entire medical field doesn't. Your choosing to trust them over the advice of medical professionals. So you're either doing a bit on Soxtalk, or you're legitimately worrying yourself over the decision made by two uneducated people.- White Sox (Hendriks) v. Twins (Colome)

Damn that's a pretty impressive stat line. I really had my doubts about Kopech moving forward. With the long layoff and very little information about his personal life/situation (which is totally fine that it's private by the way) I just thought there was a ton of red flags/warning signs it just might not all come together for him. So happy to see what's he's doing in 2021- Texas @ Sox
That’s a real nice weekend- Texas @ Sox
No. It’s 8-1. He said before the game Stiever could go 100 pitches if needed. He wanted to give him as much rope as possible. It clearly wasn’t working, he went to Crochet. Who thus far has done a good job (inning not over) Maybe go back to whatever it is you claimed you were doing when Kopech was dominating.- Texas @ Sox
I don’t think that’s the case, at all- Texas @ Sox
