  1. If TLR is fine putting Hendricks in down 4, no reason he can’t put him in for Foster to “save the game” in the 6th
  2. They are going be 0-3 after the 5th lol.
  3. Then what the fuck are we doing here?
  4. Fucking embarrassing. The utter lack of urgency shown today is classic Ricky. Remember that “killer instinct, step on their throats” talk in Spring Training? They all can fuck off.
  5. This is absolutely right. A lot of this is on Tony (I get it’s the opening week) but this lineup and bullpen management shows he had NO urgency to win this game. This is also on Hahn and Co. They’ve decided to put Kopech and Crochet in the pen, which takes two BIG arms out of the equation for 2-3 days at a time. This is the result.
  6. I’m sorry, what now?
  7. Inexcusable.
  8. Truly a shit performance from Foster
  9. Alright Zack, we see you.
  10. As others have said, Kong: Skull Island is a pretty good movie just as a stand alone. Decent character build, good action, story that somewhat makes sense. I'd give it a run.
  11. But that wasn't the general expectation. I think the "optimistic but realistic" expectation for Nick was to be around a .320 hitter with around a .350 OBP, post an .OPS of around .780, play a "good" defensive 2B and just be a scrappy, grindy, smart player that always annoys a fanbase of the other team. The 2020 season from David Fletcher in Anaheim as an example, maybe with a slightly lower OPS from Nick. I think if Nick does that, most everyone is accepting of that. We really haven't seen that yet, and in fact he's cost the Sox games with his poor judgement and baseball IQ, which I don't think any of us had on our radar.
  12. I believe someone mentioned it last night, but it was an interesting thought. Let's say the college career of Nick Madrigal stayed totally the same, but instead of being drafted in the 1st round, he was drafted in the 7th round by the White Sox. All his college stats look identical, and his minor league career also was identical to what he produced. Only difference is he was drafted in the 7th round. How do we view Madrigal if that was the case? Are fans as forgiving of his miscues so far? Are fans more understanding of his struggles because he was a 7th round pick, and not the 4th overall selection? Has Madrigal been given a bigger rope by the front office because he was a 1st round pick? I'm not totally sure on the answers, but I think they are interesting to think about.
  13. Let's go LuBob
  14. Good for Vaughn.
  15. So you are judging this team on paper. Fine. You have that right. I'm judging them on what I see in 2021. It's bad.
  16. On paper. On the field says something very different. They aren't a good team right now, sorry if you disagree.
  17. Fuck this team is bad.
  18. Just gotta live with that from Vaughn.
  19. Nick is objectively bad at 2B. There really isn't anyway around it.
  20. He's going to win the Cy
  21. Asked, answered.
  22. How is this thread any different than what VAfan posted? Do we really need two threads telling White Sox fans not be upset with a 1-3 start?
  23. Jason dropping a “Chunnel” line was pretty awesome
